I paced back and forth in my room, wringing my hands together as I started to panic. I pulled at my hair as I scolded myself for being so stupid and cursed. My phone buzzed, making me jump as the loud noise rang through my quiet and empty room. I picked it up to see a text from Peter.

Pete: I didn't know you knew Spark
Me: I didn't know you knew Spider-Man
Pete: I guess we both have secrets
Me: You have no idea
I sighed. "You really have no idea."
Pete: Do you want a ride to the party? My aunts taking me and Ned
Me: Sure. It's better than walking in the dark. Plus, I kinda don't even know where the party is
Pete: We'll be over to pick you up in an hour then
Me: See yah then ;)
I set my phone back down on my desk, sighing as I looked at the clock. The red light flashed 5:45. I let out another deep and resounding sigh, looking at the limp grey suit sitting on the chair.
"Why'd I have to open my big fucking mouth?" My head hung down, my hand gripping hair. I tried to think of a way to fix this and began pacing my room again. "Okay, maybe I can say I'm going to the bathroom, hop out the window, change, and come in for a few seconds. Yeah, yeah. I'll do that." I pulled the suit off my chair and ran my fingers over it. A sigh left my lips as I held the thin material. "Well, here goes nothing." I slipped the suit on, pulling the legs up to my thighs. The hood tucked itself inside of the suit, my goggles wrapped up inside the material. My gloves sat in a small pocket on the side, tucked away. I looked at the dress on my bed. A breath left my lips as I grabbed it, holding it in between my fingers.
This is such a stupid idea.

I unzipped the back of the dress, stepping in and slipping my arms through the long sleeves. The dress fell around my legs and I took a breath.
"Okay. I'll just go to the party and have fun. Yeah, yeah I'll have fun." I slipped on my converse quickly and sat down on my bed. My phone buzzed with a phone call, reading Peter's name across the screen. I scrambled to answer before it stopped ringing.
"You coulda just texted me yah know." I leaned back on the bed and stared at the ceiling.
"What's the fun in that? Me, Ned, and May are outside waiting for you." I stood up and looked out the window, a car parked infront of my apartment building.
"I'll be down in, like, 1 minute." I took one last look at my hair in the mirror and walked out of my room, letting my mom know I was leaving.
"Its been a minute and your still not down here." I could practically hear the smirk.
"Shut up Parker." I hung the phone up, slipping it into the pocket in my dress.

The apartment building door opened as I pressed the handle, cold air flowing through from the outside. Peter stood leaned against the car, his hands in his pockets and his head down. He looked up as I walked out the door, a smile quickly spreading from cheek to cheek.

"Y-you look....great." I blushed and looked at the ground.
"Thanks." I looked at him through my eyelashes, smiling as he cleared his throat.
"W-well, uh, after you." He opened the door and motioned for me to get in. I slid into the seat next to Ned, waving at him.
"Thanks for driving me to the party. I wouldn't have a way to get there otherwise."
"It's really no problem." Peter's aunt gave me a smile from the front seat. The drive was generally quiet, but as we pulled up to the house I had a moment of apprehension. The music was loud to the point where it spilled out into the street, people standing everywhere. I took a deep breath wishing I'd stayed home.
"Yah know, maybe we should turn around this suddenly doesn't seem like a good idea." It was as if Peter read my mind.
"No! Look, I get it, your body's changing-" I let out a loud snicker and covered my mouth.
"BYE MAY!" Peter practically threw open the door, jumping out of the car. I laughed and opened the door to follow. Me, Ned, and Peter all waved as the car drove away, turning and looking up at the house.
"I really don't think I should be here right now." I let out a sigh.
"Me either." We both looked at eachother and walked inside, the loud environment overwhelming. People I didn't know moved around, drinking out of red solo cups and dancing to music I didn't like. I stood in the middle of the doorway, just staring. I felt a figure bump into my shoulder, pushing me into the room. I stood next to Ned and Peter, looking around the room.
"Yah know, this isn't a good idea I think I'll just text my mom and tell her I'm leaving-" I tried to walk out the door but turned.
"No!" Peter's hand had a grip on my wrist. "I mean, if we're both gonna suffer we might as well suffer together right?" His hand dropped as he smiled at me. I smiled back and nodded.
"Y-Yeah. Yeah I guess so." The three of us started to walk around, not really enjoying being at a place like this.
