"Mum this is Liam's girlfriend, Raspberry" I said
She shot a death stare at me and her mouth hung wide open. Before she could say anything Susan gave her a big hug.
"Oh I thought he was gay like his fathers." She could see what I was about to say and then Said this "I thought he made you up to cover the fact that he liked men ha!"
Liam rolled his eyes and let out a little laugh.
Susan made her way into the kitchen and continued cooking. Liam had so much going on he just sat in the corner gobsmacked. Ashton walked up to Raspberry and said "Are you my auntie?"
She looked down at the small child and said "I'm not that old" I mentally facepalmed knowing that my family would ask.
"Then how old are you?" Eugene said
"Sevente-" I slapped my hand over her mouth.
"CELINE DONT DO THAT TO THE POOR GIRL! Let her speak" mum yelled
"eighteen"
"Idiot" I mumbled "Liam is 24 that makes him six years older than you"
"LIAM! Is she one of your students?"
"Umm um uhh" he replied
"She's a friend of Imogen's. she had no place to stay so we let her stay at our dorm" I cut in but it was better than any excuse they could make
"Raspberry how old are you...?" Mum said looking here dead in the eye
The doorbell rang and then Imogen casually walked into the house like she owned it. She looked Raspberry up and down and kept waking she placed the flowers in the centre of the table. Then I remembered no one had actually met Imogen. Shit.
"Hey babe" I said pulling her into a brief kiss
"Imogen?" Jessie said
"Ohmygod..." Tristan said
"Ahhh sorry I forgot that I haven't met you guys, Celine had just told me so much about you that I completely forgot that we hadn't met." Imogen tried to say
Smooth Immie real smooth...
"I HAVE SO MANY AUNTIES!" Ashton screamed.
"How did you know?" Imogen asked me.
"What?" I replied.
She got down on one knee and pulled something out of her pocket. It was a ring box with a note that said 'i'm too poor to afford a real wedding ring motherfucker.'
"I love you so much that no one in this room can comprehend will you get engaged to me until I can afford a real wedding ring?" She asked
"Yes! Yes! YES! never will I say no! Yes I will be your wife-to-be... motherfucker." I replied holding back tears as I squished her in a giant bear hug.
Sure I had imagined marrying Imogen but now we are ENGAGED meaning it might happen sooner than I thought though I am not complaining.
"I can't really breathe" Imogen struggled to say through my hug.
"I don't care!" I yelled hugging her tighter, by this point I was unsure whether or not she could breathe but with all the thoughts buzzing through my head I couldn't focus on that.
No one in my family is necessarily homophobic nor my extended family except Amber and Dick, who I thought weren't coming but I was sadly mistaken. They were sitting on the couch making out and not caring about anyone.
"Ew." Dick said.
"Fuck off!" Rob replied
"ROB LANGUAGE!" Mum yelled, "the children."
