The bell rang.
It is noon in the first week of July. Just in time, Von finished their AP History activity which will be submitted tomorrow. They were asked to create a mind map pertaining to WWII and its influence on the present time. As the lenient person he is, a fruit was immediately produced.
Von arranged his highlighters and colored pens after using them for this assignment. He put it inside his leather pouch which seemed to be a sophisticated way to hide these pens. Actually, he just stole this from his sister's bedroom after leaving for California. It is not the only thing he stole from that room, but we will not get to it for now.
"Alam mo, nakakainis ka! Bakit ang sipag mo at tinapos mo agad 'yan? Take home task nga tapos gagawin mo sa school! Asar!" Clara blurted.
The discussion about the subject did not take too long as they expected, only consumed a half hour. After their teacher gave the task she immediately rushed to the guidance office to assist one of her students who is involved in a quarrel earlier.
Von convinced himself that he had no choice but to do this task when of course there could be another option. He could just slack and sleep, he could join his friends to use the dating app or do some random stuff. Yet, he rather complete this thing before he got home since he wanted to finish a tv series before studying again.
"Eh, napaka efficient naman kasi niyang tao. Iyon nga yung description niya sa sarili niya nung nag introduction tayo. Parang 'di ka pa sanay sis." Katherine commented while collecting her blue lunch bag.
"Para wala na akong gagawin sa bahay at mag-aaral na lang 'di ba?" Von said before placing his work inside his clear book. "Bumaba na kaya tayo!"
"Nako change topic ka na naman, pero sige go na go na ako, gutom na ako!" Fiona uttered to distract her friends.
"Gutom ka pa pagkatapos mo kainin yung biscuit ko habang nagtitinder!" Clara exclaimed. "Nako ah, may pokemon nga talaga diyan sa tiyan mo."
"Dali na kumain na tayo, pag naunahan tayo ng upuan sa cafeteria, sa hallway tayo kakain nito." Von argued and immediately went outside the classroom.
They followed him just like the protocol, they always repeat he is an efficient person. He acts as a mediator and coach to their group since they think he is the only one who has the capacity to be sane.
The hallway is always packed with students with their bizarre activities from modeling or shouting randomly. Yet, the hallway is brimful compared to other school days.
"Uy anong meron?" Clara asked Von.
Von just hissed as an answer to her question.
"Ah, 'yan ata yung registration para sa dance competition next week. Di ba kayo nakinig na parang semi foundation week tayo ngayon? Well in terms ng events pero di sa klase." Katherine explained.
"Wow, talagang nakikinig siya kapag ganyan." Fiona teased.
"Sira, tsaka may battle of the bands pala sa quad ngayon. Manonood ba kayo?" Katherine asked them.
They exchanged looks since they have different agendas about this event. Specifically, they are thinking if they will look for a potential crush.
