The day was awkward, to say the least. Beca and Chloe went down to the courthouse and explained their situation to the person who handled births, deaths, and marriages. The woman tried not to laugh, especially when Beca was cracking jokes but Chloe wasn't having any of it. She just wanted to get the papers done so she could be free from Beca and get everything sorted before Chicago came back in a few weeks time. After some persuasion, Chloe and Beca were granted a divorce, which Chloe was ever so grateful for. She couldn't have grabbed the papers out of the woman's hands quick enough and fill them out. Beca wasn't as enthusiastic as Chloe was but she filled her part out and signed it. Chloe felt some form of relief but she knew she wouldn't feel completely better until the papers got finalised and she was properly divorced from Beca. It wasn't how either of them planned to spend their Saturday but needs must.

"Happy now?" Beca asked once they left the courthouse.

"Not until the papers go through but for now, I'm okay."

"Listen... I'm sorry for what I said. I'm sure you love this guy a lot and I'm sure he loves you a lot, too. I mean, you're getting married so one would hope that you two would love each other," she chuckled.

"Yeah, we do... and thank you. It wasn't the best morning for either of us."

"I still can't remember what happened last night. All I remember is the bathroom then everything else is... gone. I'm surprised that Stacie didn't ask where I was or come with us to our... wedding..."

"From memory, she was getting pretty busy with Aubrey."

"Oh, yeah, she was, too... Classic Stacie," she laughed.

"Speaking of Aubrey, I haven't heard from her since last night. I'll give her a quick call." Chloe grabbed her phone and called her best friend.

"Hi, Chlo," the blonde answered.

"Hey, Bree. Where are you?"

"I'm just at the beach."

"The beach?"

"Yeah, I'm with Stacie."

"You're with Stacie?" Chloe looked at Beca perplexed and Beca looked equally confused. "Wait... Did you two sleep together last night?"

"We might have... and we might have agreed to start dating."

"Oh... Oh my God!" Chloe beamed. "That's great, Bree! See? I told you that you'd find someone!"

"I know," Aubrey laughed. "Where are you?"

"I'm just with Beca."

"Beca? What are you doing with her?"

That's when Chloe realised that Aubrey had no idea what happened between them last night, not even the making out and having sex in the bar's bathroom. The blonde was too busy with Stacie to pay attention to Beca and Chloe and Chloe was somewhat relieved. She was happy that what had happened stayed between her and Beca but she wanted so much to tell her best friend since Aubrey always gave good advice and Chloe needed some of that advice right now.

"I just ran into her actually," Chloe told her friend. "I was on my way to get a coffee and I ran into her. Small world."

"Oh, okay. Well, have fun. I'm going to continue on with my date." Aubrey was eager to spend more time with Stacie.

"Alright. Have fun with Stacie and be good."

"You, too. Love you."

"Love you, too. Bye!"

"Bye!"

Chloe hung up and sighed.

"Aubrey's with Stacie?" Beca checked.
