Katie POV
I woke up at around 5 this morning, with an odd feeling in my stomach. So what is best than having a cup of green tea to help out. I've been sitting on the couch watching the television for the last two hours, drinking my tea which is now nonexistent. I glanced at the clock to see t read a few minutes past 7. "Probably time to get ready now." I mumbled to myself. Groaning as I lifted myself from my comfortable seat, I trudged over to the bathroom, my feet dragging in protest. Standing in front of the sink, I looked up at the mirror on the wall. My straight brown hair hardly having knots, freckles running along my cheeks and nose, my green eyes looking dulled, bags under my eyes signifying my lack of sleep. I frowned at my self image, "Why is it so hard to love yourself?" I questioned myself. 'I just wish all these insecurities would go away.' I thought. I sighed turning on the tap and splashing my face with water, grabbing the hand towel drying off my face. I grabbed my mascara that permanently lived on the sink, applying it to my lashes, to help my eyes look less dead. I brushed my hands through my hair, gave myself the thumbs up in the mirror and went back to the main room. I changed quickly into black ripped jeans, a white T-shirt, black and white checkered vans shoes and a denim jacket. I grabbed my school bag, not caring for appliances as I left locking the door behind me. I walked to school enjoying the morning fresh air and quiet. I grabbed my phone checking the time to see it was 8:15. 'I must of fluffed around a lot.' I thought to myself, putting my phone in my pocket. The air was crisp, allowing my puffs of warm air to form clouds. Allowing pleasant childhood memories to resurface.

"Mummy! Mummy! Look I'm a train!" A small brunette exclaimed, running around puffing hot air into the cool. The small brunette turned to her mother, her long luscious blonde locks bouncing as she walked towards her child. The small child giggled, moving her arms in a circular motion as she charged towards her mother. "TOOT! TOOT!" The brunette exclaimed, enveloping her mother's legs into a hug. The woman laughed, patting her daughters head. The child pouted, letting go of her mum trying to fix her matted hair. "Katie, what am I gonna do with you?" The blonde questioned, kneeling down to the said girls height. The brunette smiled and wrapped her arms around her mothers neck, giving her a peck on the cheek. The brunette looked into her mother's sky blue eyes seeing her own reflection within. The mother wrapped her arms underneath the brunette, lifting her up as she stood. The child giggled and yelled. "Look at me! I'm a balloon!" Katie exclaimed, waving her arms in the air. The mother laughed and walked where the path took her.

I smiled fondly at the memory, as I approached the school entrance. As I grew closer, curious glances where shot my way by other students. The students murmurs loud and clear in my ears. I ignored, as I walked up the stairs and through the doors. As I entered the hallway of lockers, students once bubbling, seemed to of gone dead silent at my arrival, quickly dissipating into whispers. "What's she doing here?" "I thought she died?" "Wasn't she the one that was in the hallway?" The whispers continued as I walked through the hallway. I clenched my jaw in frustration, the murmurs becoming irritating. Nearing the end of the hallway of lockers, I went to the left in front of my locker. Putting in the combination and unlocking it, I got ready for the day. Grabbing my essentials and leaving for my first class. Science.

I sat in the back row, as I pondered on what exactly I was. I was a mutant of some sort. But what? I looked like the devil but, other characteristics seem different, I guess. I sighed resting my head on the table. Grey didn't give me a lot to go on, so I still had a lot of questions. "Students. I'd like your attention please." Rudely interrupted from my thoughts, I lifted my head semi glaring at our science teacher Mr. Wood, he's a new teacher at our school, still trying to figure out how we roll. He was fairly good looking, earning a lot of the girls attention, he had a slim figure, not buff at all, brown wavy hair with an undercut, brown eyes and a stubble. His attitude is not really swoon worthy, but I'm pretty sure he's just trying to keep the students under control. "We have a new student today. Grey Mueller will you come in please." Mr wood introduced. My eyes turned into saucers seeing the man that I was help captive by, enter the room. His eyes roamed the room, then settled on my eyes, a smirk danced on his lips as he noticed my shocked expression. "Nice to meet you all. I hope to get better acquainted soon." Grey introduced. The girls marvelled his handsome features almost drueling. "Grey, go sit next to Katie. Katie raise your hand." Mr wood ordered sternly. I pretended to not hear him and looked out the window. "Katie, raise your hand." Mr wood asserted. I huffed and begrudgingly raises my hand. The raven haired boy walked towards my direction, taking a seat next to me. "Nice to see you again." Grey whispered. I growled lowly, signifying my displeasure. "Don't be like that. I know you have questions you'd like answered." Grey chimed in. "I'm good thanks, I'll just google it." I expressed. A deep hearty laugh escaped his throat, as he drew his attention back to class. 'Ugh, what a start to the day.' I thought, my fists tightening.

She tapped her finger on the bench in annoyance. The tapping seeming to get harsher by the second. She was oddly disappointed in my presence, she wasn't nagging me for information and she seemed relatively normal. It was odd? I smiled, as I relaxed in my chair. 'This year is going to be interesting.' I thought, my eyes glancing over at the brunette.
~ Hey! A short Chappy this one but I hope you enjoy it anyway.
