The back room was tiny and stinky. There were creepy wax figures everywhere. They were covered in fake blood, and their fake guts were spilling out. There were creepy clown figures with bloody or no eyes.
Lydia thought that they would suddenly move and attack her.
Fake body parts laid on the floor. Creepy, giant spiders were hung on the walls.
There was a wax figure of Jason holding a bloody chain saw. And a wax figure of Chucky, holding a bloody knife.
The spider webs were in the back of the room, not on the third right.
"Only six dollars, and there's enough to cover the whole house! I'll buy two, one for inside, one for outside."
Lydia stuck the two spiderweb packets in the shopping cart.
"Can I get the Chuckie wax figure, mom?"
"No."
"Why not?" Lydia asked.
"For one, It would be too scary for Breeanan, and two, it's sixty dollars!"
"Geez, that's a little expensive for a twelve inch figure of a killer doll, don't you think?"
Lydia asked.
"I guess if I wanted a killer doll, I could just find the one I saw by the man cave." Lydia mumbled to herself.
Lydia bought all kinds of decorations. Orange lights, spiderwebs, stira foam tombstones, a giant spider, hanging skeletons, her Lizzy Bourdon costume, and a pumpkin carving kit.
"So, what activities do you have planned for the party?" asked Zoey, as soon as Lydia paid for the items.
"Well, there will be dancing, bobbing for apples, pumpkin carving, a haunted house. You know? Stuff like that."
"And, the haunted house will be where?" asked Zoey.
"The basement. It's dark and cold and big. Just as long as no one goes in there alone." Lydia said.
"Yeah, that might be best." Zoey said, opening the car door.
"We need to buy food for the party, too." Lydia said, putting the bags from the Halloween store in the back seat.
"Your party isn't for another six days. How about we wait until the day before the party? We need to make sure the food is fresh. We can buy pumpkins then, too." Zoey said, buckling herself in.
"Sounds good." Said Lydia.
They started the car, and went back home.
