Victoria sat, fidgeting in her chair. Unable to sit still. Her fingers writhed with frustration. She could not for the life of her keep still. Thomas was late. Again. She hadn't seen him in over a week, all thanks to her brother. Alexander was ever so protective of his younger sister, yet he also loathed the fact she was in courtship with his business partner, and best friend. Alexander and Thomas were the perfect pair. Though they came from entirely different backgrounds, they got along splendidly.

Thomas Prescott was a budding engineer, always keen to start on a new project. He was a meticulous craftsman; always taking great care with each new invention he was working on. He came from a rather lowly background, although he worked his hardest to get to the top. He wasn't quite there yet, but he was most certainly trying.

Alexander was the rejected son of a Lord, nevertheless a enormously promising inventor. His mind was always ticking. He was forever scribbling down ideas and notes about one thing or another. He was the older brother of Victoria Crowley. However, her personality differed greatly from that of her brother. She was a socialite. A gathering was never dull if she attended. She flitted from person to person, light hearted and chatty with all she acquainted. What people didn't know, was that she had a darker side that she had never revealed to anyone...

Not so long ago, she had been drawn in to the world of dark and sexual fantasies, in the unknown part of Victorian London. She had been a shy young lady, always nervous and twiddling her fingers. That was before she had met Elizabeth, better known as Eliza.. Eliza had met Victoria at a large gathering at the Crowley residence. They became friends soon after, and slowly began to trust each-other, though Victoria had no idea what she was letting herself in for..

They had known each other for perhaps six months or so, when Eliza invited Victoria to a 'gathering' of friends. She told her that the people there were a little different, in regards to taste, but were lovely regardless. Naively, she accepted the invitation, entirely unaware of what she was about to get herself tied in to. Literally.
