prologue.

"THIS COULD VERY WELL BE ONE OF YOUR STUPIDEST PLANS YET, THOR." Morgana spoke diligently as the walk for Surturs inner chambers continued. The god had asked for his longtime friend, Morgana Fûlkiya, for help just a month ago. After saving the earth with his mortal friends, a mortal vision from a deathly witch, lead him to seeking seemingly fairytale stones in far away galaxies. Only two years later, and he called for her to join him on the so called, 'seeking'. Of course, Morgana couldn't turn down the offer of her childhood friend and soon joined him in on the adventures.

"That, I do doubt." Thor boasted, his chest puffing out in the slightest with radiating confidence, while a cheeky smile plastered itself onto his lips. His hammer swooshed through the air repeatedly as he flicked it up into the air, and caught it repeatedly.

"Dear Odin, I never realized how truly hot it is on this planet." The brunette grumbled in the slightest. Although, as an Asgardian, she and Thor were able to easily continue through the hellish planet. Surtur's home world. Small rocks crumbled beneath their armoured boots while they continued to walk on.

"Weren't you here with my father once?" The God of Thunder questioned, looking at her with a raised eyebrow at her annoyance with the temperature; that was only rising by the second as they ventured onward for the main tunnels of caves, that would connect them to Surtur's throne room.

Morgana nodded, thinking back to the time only a century ago when she'd traveled through the bifrost to Surtur's home world. All those years back, she'd become a special person on the council of Asgard. Meaning, she could attend meetings just like the one dear old, Odin had with Surtur, back in the day. "I had. It's just been a long time."

Silence consumed them as a large rocky, mountain top came into view. Thor's cheery demeanour dropped in the slightest, as his eyes warily casted around their surroundings. Scouting for any of Surturs ghouls. The ghastly things, were made of the hottest lava and held together by the thickest of stones. Just as Surtur was, except, Surtur was a much larger version of them and held a lot more power than the rest. Morgana listened intently for any shifting, or moving but heard nothing besides their boots shuffling along the hard ground.

"Where are they?" She questioned, looking cautiously at her friend as they neared ever so closer to the tunnels entrance. "When I was here with Odin, they'd already met us miles back."

Her voice gave a small tone of worry, causing Thor, to look at her with his eyebrows furrowed. She was never one to be overly worried. Especially when it came to a fight. "I'm sure it's fine. Maybe they're on... vacation?" His voice ended the sentence with a high-pitched voice, that was two octaves above how it usually sounded.
