okay, so splitting up tom and josie to interrogate them on their plans for the other, probably wasn't their best idea. okay, it definitely wasn't their best idea but charlie was annoyed by the constant cycle of 'we're just friends ' and 'we're not dating' coming out of their mouths.
convincing his brothers and her sister was the easiest part, convincing harrison and blake, well that was another. blake was concerned about forcing them too quickly even though, as she was quick to point out, it had been about seven months since they started talking.
everyone could see the adoring looks she gave him, and the even fonder ones he gave her. the way tom's eyes would linger a little too long on the blonde girl, or the way he would grin ten times wider when she smiled or laughed at something he said. or charlie's favorite, how for the past four nights, they pretty much spent it together, curled up on the couch, her head pressed against his chest with their legs intertwined until someone found them.
they were head over heels for each other.
that's what pushed the two boys to agree with the devilish plan the girls came up with when josie and tom had gone outside to search for the missing glove he had lost the previous night.
"a zoo. really?" blake chuckled. "that's your big plan? what are we supposed to do? lock them in a cage with the monkeys?"
liv, from her spot on the counter, leaned over and whacked the boy with the rolled up newspaper she had been reading. "don't be rude."
blake pouted. "i'm just saying."
"it's not about the zoo. it's about us, josie's best friends, taking tommy boy and finding out what exactly he wants from her, and you," she turned to face the twins and harrison. "as tom's best friend, minus jacob and a few others, finding out how she feels about him."
"we've never really been alone with her. you really think she'll talk to us about something like that?" sam asks.
"i know my sister. and i know that as much as she trust tom, she'll trust you just as much. getting her to talk, about him, none the less, will be easy." liv adds, sliding off the counter to cross paths with the younger holland brothers. "the hard part will be my uncle."
"chris, who i love and adore, is just going to have to deal with the fact that josie and thomas like each other." charlie groans.
"well when he finds out that those two are possibly dating, he's either gonna be really happy or really mad. moms not gonna care because she knows josie won't get with someone who isn't a good person." liv sighed.
"uh, about that." harrison finally spoke up, scratching the back of his neck. "chris already talked to tom."
they all stared at him. "what!?"
"yeah, couple weeks ago. told tom he was trusting him not to hurt her, that if he did, he'd live to regret it." harrison said.
"why the hell are you just now saying something?" olivia groaned, again, rolling onto the couch, burrowing her face into the leather pillows.
he shrugged. "tom asked me not to say anything, didn't want josie to get upset with her uncle."
"aye." charlie pinched her nose. "okay. either way, these two, especially her will never admit anything."
"then it's settled?" liv asks from the couch. "we're doing this?"
"yep."
