When you get a new classmate you assume them to be human or in this world, born human but quirks are weird so we're not going into that. This is not what Class 1-a was expecting at all when they were told they were getting a new classmate.

Aizawa literally just came into the dorms with a red and white cat, who seemed like it didn't want to be here which would have been obvious to literally anyone from all the struggling, hissing, and biting.
Aizawa placed the struggling Cat down, and it immediately bolted under the couch startling a few people, Everyone gave Aizawa a confused look.
''Aizawa sensei I mean no disrespect sir'' Iida said with hand movements '' but I thought you said we were getting a classmate not a cat''
Aizawa sighed '' The cat is your classmate'' Que confused noises and instant question, Aizawa raised his hand shutting the students up. '' let me explain, that was Shouto Todoroki the youngest Todoroki and yes he is a cat but he can turn human at will and any other feline creature. However, that is not his quirk it's just genetics. His sibling had told him no using his quirk until they say so. Also his brother, Natsuo Todoroki had told me that Shouto will not change back to human unless he feels like he can trust the class. So try to gain his trust'' Aizawa in a stern tone, looking over his ki-students determined faces.
''Do you understand'' A chorus of yes Aizawa-sense was heard. ''Good. Iida, here are his belongings and room number'' the omega teacher gave Iida a small but heavy back-pack to Iida and the key card to his room. ''I'll be going now good luck'' The watched as Aizawa then turned to leave, but paused at the door ''Oh and before I forget'' He turned his head back to the class and gave them a deadly stare officially scaring some students ''Shouto is an omega, so if hear of any funny business I will deal with your punishment personally'' Everyone was positive that their teacher was talking directly at M*neta who looked like he was about to piss himself.
Aizawa then left feeling confident that his kids will be able to make Shouto feel at home
