Chapter 5

The first weeks of with the new student, he mostly just kept to himself and just stayed in places where no one really was or could bother him. 

There was also the fact that he was a Todoroki, one of the Todoroki's who disappeared from the face of the earth for a little over a decade and then suddenly just reappeared it was a miracle that the media hasn't caught on yet. 

Anyway, the class had questions and were very stubborn that's what Shoto picked up on when he was around them. Many of the students had asked questions which lead to Shoto hissing at them and scurrying away. Some of them took the hint and some didn't.

Although there was a boy named Koda in this class who was sweet and could understand him in his cat form. So that was a plus.

The first time he met Koda was after the first week and Koda was talking to his rabbit which leads to the two of them having a conversation about different animals and how cute and lyal they were, so that was nice. 

However, that didn't mean the class didn't try and try they did. Why didn't they understand he didn't want to have attention on him.

Mina, Ochako, Hagukuri, and Momo, are those their names? whatever, they tried first and he didn't like them, they kept cooing at him and trying to pet him, and when they did pet him, well it felt nice so theirs that but then they all tried to pet him at once and there were too many hands on him, and he could feel a panic attack starting to come up. 

He almost bit one of the girl's fingers clean off when another pair of hands curled under his belly and pulled him away from the handsy girls.

"Katsuki what the hell!" Asked the invisible one

"You idiots were scaring were scaring him" The blonde (Katsuki was it) scowled at the girls and shifted him so he was more comfortable in his arms, immediately caramel and campfire filled his nostrils, the smell was really nice and he nearly snuggled into he blonde arms before Shoto was gently put on the ground snapping him out of the scented haze.

"No, we weren't, isn't that right little guy," The brown-haired one asked crouching down and putting her fingers in front of him.

Shoto hissed at her.

The browned-haired girl reeled back startled.

"Did you extra's forget that Shoto is a person?" Katsuki asked disapproving.

The girls didn't say anything but they did look guilty. 

Shoto didn't pay attention to the rest of the conversation, he was a little too focused on the smell of caramel and campfire to focus on what was happening.

The next time Shoto saw the girls they apologized, and Shoto never really had a thing for holding grudges (except for Endeavor) so he forgave them by giving them a purr. 

A green-haired Alpha tried talking to him, he was nice and smelled of pine and freshly cut grass, so Shoto allowed him to ramble as he ate his food ( and It wasn't cat food, thank god).

 Shoto found himself zoning out as the green-haired boy (Deku or Midoryia was it?) continued talking, Caramel and Campfire were what his brain was currently focused on which was confusing because no Alpha's scent had affected this badly. 

Now that Shoto thought about it the only Alpha scents he had ever been attracted to either had the smell of caramel that just wasn't quite right or was just too sweet and the smell of campfire that was way too suffocating and reminded of overwhelming smoke and heat and just so much smoke that it was suffocating him, he needed to get awa-- Shouto shook his head to get rid of those thoughts

Katsuki's scent wasn't like that. His campfire wasn't suffocating at all and the caramel not too sweet but still there, almost like caramel was in the process of cooking in a campfire.

It was perfect.

 Shoto really wanted to smell it again.
