His classmate, Connor Murphy, commits suicide after a few weeks later and Evan was mistaken as his only friend, because Connor had Evan's letter in his pocket and they considered it as a suicide note. With that being said, Evan was now the center of attention and had a chance to fulfill his dream. evan pretended to be his friend through the weeks.
