Yoongi stood at the door, regretting his whole life as he waited for you to open the door. Maybe he if booked it right now, he could turn this into some late night ding-dong-ditch prank. That would be a pathetic way to avoid a girl, but Yoongi was really considering his options here.

Amongst his endless plans to escape, he somehow had forgotten that he had already knocked, and in no time, you were standing on the other side of an open doorway, tilting your head in confusion.

"Yoongi?" You asked, surprised, "What are you doing here?"

Yoongi shuffled his feet on your doorstep, triggering some deja vu from this morning in class, as he also failed to procure words. "... I thought you were doing a movie night?"

"Oh, that was canceled. Big storm coming." You stated, scratching your cheek nervously with one finger, "I guess you didn't see my SNS post."

Yoongi's fidgeting stopped almost immediately. "Oh," Was all he could say, before he made a direct 180 and awkwardly began the trek back home, which was a reasonable distance that he didn't bother to drive his car.

"Wait!" You called, stopping Yoongi is his tracks. He was ready to leave, and erase this this embarrassing moment that would inevitably come up randomly in the future to instill bouts of self-cringe.

"The storm is gonna start soon," you reasoned, "I don't want you getting soaked."

Yoongi shook his head. "It's a short walk. I'll have time."

And just like that, as if world wanted to give Yoongi even more proof that it was against him, the pitter pattern of rain began to emerge, growing in intensity until every droplet felt like a flick to the forehead.

"You'll get sick!" You yelled over the storm, concern laced into your voice, "Please!"

Wallowing in shame, Yoongi made the light sprint into your house, after which you scrambled for a towel to dry him off with. This left Yoongi to stand awkwardly as the one person who didn't catch the memo that movie night was canceled. This is what he got for trying to be semi-social.

Once Yoongi was settled on the couch in front of the Tv, a blanket around his shoulders, you were on the carpet sorting through various movies, with Yoongi being able to see you in deep thought as both of you sat in silence.

"We can still have movie night, though it'll just be the two of us. " You said softly, "Any preferences?"

Yoongi shrugged, before realizing in slight embarrassment that you weren't looking in his direction. "Umm... no, not really."

"We'll settle on a classic then." You finalized. You put in the dvd in without revealing the movie and proceeded to jump on the couch. Landing a little bit closer than what Yoongi would consider comfortable, obviously shown by the red sprinkling on his cheeks.

The Notebook.

Of course.

It was a fourth of the way in and 40 minutes without a single word spoken that Yoongi's attention drifted away from the cult hit classic. He didn't understand the following behind this movie. He didn't appreciate the lack of loyalty the girl lead had for her fiancé.

Whilst distracted, Yoongi's eyes drifted towards you, and he saw you with soft eyes, and a small smile as you were captivated by the romance. You were certainly a lot more interesting to look at, not that he would ever say that out loud. It was after a couple minutes that you began to twirl your hair around your finger, a dazed grin on your face.

Yoongi smirked, "You really like these kinds of movies, don't you?"

You jumped slightly at the sudden comment, before nodding timidly, "I find them beautiful."

Yoongi nodded in false understanding before letting you carry out your trance with the rest of the movie. Throughout which you were somehow managing to scoot closer and closer to him, until you both were under the same blanket, which was way too small for Yoongi's liking. If he were to lean just a few inches to the right, he would be able to lean on your shoulder. The thought alone made him blush; luckily, you were too caught up in the movie.

As the ending credits finally rolled, you slouched against the couch and swooned, "There's a reason everybody knows the Notebook."

"I don't like it." Frowned Yoongi, although he was only talking to distract himself from that fact that he you were close enough to smell at this point.

"How could you not like it?" You asked in disbelief, "It's so sweet, and gives that little warm fuzzy feeling inside you."

You were once again fiddling shyly with your hair.

"I just wonder if I could ever experience something even close to that."

Yoongi looked at you, giving the signature "Wtf-are-you-talking-about" face.

"What?" You asked, before your eyes widened in realization. You cover your eyes mumbling, "Oh my god, I can't believe I just said that to you. Forget it, please. It's never gonna happen I know."

Yoongi raised an eyebrow. "Why wouldn't it?"

"I don't know," You responded wistfully, "It just seems like that kind of thing would never happen to me. No boy in school has spoken to me in that kind of way before, yet half of the school body are in relationships. I'm starting to think that I'm the problem."

"That's not it." Yoongi found himself saying, "Compared to the other girls, you're just... in a whole other league."

You frowned.

"Any boy in our school would go out with you." Yoongi admitted, in his vain attempt to comfort you.

You grabbed his arm gently in order to have his full attention. "Any?" You asked softly.

"Any." Yoongi confirmed.

You glanced to the side, "Even, uh... never mind." You blushed.

"What?"

"Nothing!" You practically yelled, "It's... nothing."

Surprisingly, you didn't let go of his sleeve, but rather, your hand slowly made its way down until your hand was resting on top of his. Yoongi of course wasn't going to say anything and ruin the moment, but instead, exhaled slowly to calm his beating heart and made no movement that might cause you to remove your small hand.

The two of you never once made eye contact for the rest of the movie, with only fleeting glances between the two signaling any sign of acknowledgement.

Yoongi's red face never did die down that day.
