Thief
I crept into the dark and musty stone temple trying to find what was left of it. I slowly walked into the entrance and lit a torch in an attempt to see something. I was a treasure hunter and a thief. Stealing things to sell just so I could live another day in the already corrupted Hive Mind world. I kept quiet, not trying to draw any attention to myself as I passed through the hallways of the large open room.
I thought I saw something and I quickly ran my torch over it. The wall of ancient scribbles...the creators were here, right where I stood in the temple. I ran my fingers across the stone wall and smiled. I had found it, the lost Temple of The Creators. A monument that was never meant to be found.
Then, out of thin air a force hit me. The sound of moving air and clicking of a handgun alerted me...I was not alone. My senses heightened and I ran farther into the temple, down a flight of stairs and into another abyss of darkness. SLAM! The door closed behind me and my torch was nowhere to be found and I was alone, in the bottom of the temple, out of breath and out of luck. What was I looking for anyway? I was only looking for the ancient building but there was really something more. Something better that would lead me to a better destiny.
I stood up, not knowing where my mind would take me. I walked slow, very very slow trying not to kill myself in some sort of trap. Then, with almost no context and no reason a light appeared in the end of the tunnel. I walked faster, and faster and soon I was running with desperation and escape on my mind. But when I reached the light, nothing happened. No trees, no sky and not even food. C'mon! I thought to myself Nothing?! C'mon!
It was almost like something had answered me as the whole ceiling turned to ashes and even the whole temple was turned to nothing but dust. I was standing there, completely clueless and confused. Like nothing ever happened.
