"So you and Stefan? You guys a thing now?"I heard Tyler say. I scoffed.

"Oh wouldn't you like to know"I said , rolling my eyes.

"Look Lydia I'm sorry about what happened"he apologized.

"You mean what you caused Tyler, don't treat it like that was some accident"I told him as I looked at him.

"You've got to tell me what I'm fighting for"he said,I put my glass down and shrugged my shoulders.

"Nothing Tyler"I told him.

"I stopped fighting for you a long time ago"I said,I started to walk away but stopped and turned to look at him again.

"And you know what? Screw you for thinking that a half hearted ass apology was gonna fix us"I told him, shaking my head.

"It won't Tyler the damage is done"I said. I then went to the restroom and leaned against the counter.

"Let me guess boy problems?"Damon said.

"Yeah something like that"I said glancing at him.

"Well I've got something that might help"he said , moving closer.

"Trust me there's nothing you have that can make me feel better"I told him,he moves my hair off my shoulder.

"You're right"he said ,before I felt teeth being sunk into my neck.

"Ah!"I screamed ,causing the lights in the bathroom to break. I dropped to the floor ,my eyes closing as darkness surrounded me.

I woke up with a gasp,I looked around noticing that I was in the hospital. I looked over to see Stefan, his head was laying on the bed as he slept.

"He stayed all night"I heard a voice call out it was Elena.

"Elena i-"she cut me off.

"Don't apologise Lydia, I know you haven't done anything wrong.... you're my friend"she said. I looked at stefan.

"I'll come back later , you're gonna be okay"she said squeezing my hand. I smiled as she left.

"I know you're awake"I said. He lifted his head up smiling.

"How are you feeling?"he asked me , grabbing my hand.

"I was bitten"I said ,slowly turning my head to look at him.

"Do you remember anything?"he asked me.

"I was in the bathroom and damon was there..."my eyes widened as realization dawned on me.

"D-damon bit me....I was bitten by a vampire"I whispered.

"Hey look at me"he said, squeezing my hand.

"I will protect you"he said. I looked at him.

"How?"I asked him.

"Because I'm also a vampire....this ring prevents vampires from compelling you"he said as his thumb tracing the ring.

" Why are you telling me this?"I asked him.

"I want you to know that you can trust me with your secret"he said ,I bit my lip and looked away.

"Lydia-"I cut him off

"I'm a witch"i said, looking back at him.

" I know"he said,looking down at my hand.

"I knew from the beginning" He said, nodding.

"Is that why you're so willing to risk everything,  because I'm a witch?" I asked him.

"No no no, Lydia I care about you.... It pains me to see you hurt like this" He said. I reached my hand up to place it against his cheek.

"I wanna do the right thing Stefan and the right thing is for me to push you away" I said, looking into his eyes.

"But I can't,  I'm too selfish and I can't let you go" I added. I watched as he leaned his head against my hand.

"I guess that makes me selfish too"
