t h e p r o p o s a l

chris stared at the beautiful woman from across the table. 

the couple was spending a night in, eating there favorite dinner together. selena and chris have had an amazing time together since getting back together and couldn't wait for the future. chris wanted to bring the future a little closer tonight, though. by asking the love of his life to marry him. selena being the oblivious person that she was, didn't think anything different when chris looked down at his lap and grabbed something from his pocket. 

she was currently having a moment savoring her salmon.

"i think lily is coming over tomorrow to help prepare for the wedding." selena continued the conversation before looking up at chris.

she saw the vintage rose gold halo ring.

her eyes filled with tears, as chris stared lovingly at his girl.

"selena marie gomez, every moment since i first met you, i knew you were the one. I knew it over the fights, breakup and rumors. 

i knew you were the one i wanted to spend the rest of my life with. no question. there is no question whom i want to the mother of my children to, the co parent of my son (dodger). no one else i would want by my side through anything and everything.

 i love you selena, and i want to spend the rest of our lives together. will you do the honor of becoming my wife?" chris asked as he sniffled.

selena's hand hung over her mouth, tears streaming down now. she couldn't believe her life was falling into place.
