"You love me though," Jacob says proudly as his Canadian friend, rolls his eyes and shakes his head at his lame jokes. "Hey! Wait! I have another one!" He says, as an idea for his next joke suddenly pops up into his head. "Kevin? Kevin!" He yells down the hall, for everyone to hear, as his friend started walking faster to get away from Jacob and his terrible jokes.
Jacob rushed after him, entering the lunch room as he did so. The two boys rushed to sit down, seeing their friends Sunwoo and Changmin already seated and comfortable. "Sup guys." Kevin greets, Jacob also saying a hello, followed by the two other boys that were already seated.
The boys sat in silence for a while before Kevin spoke up, hitting Changmin lightly on his arm to get his attention. "Where's your boyfriend?"
"Oh, Younghoon is sitting with his new friends. He said he'd sit here again tomorrow." He explains, though the orange haired boy was smiling, anyone could smell the bitterness from a mile away.
"You're jealous, aren't you?" Sunwoo asks, sipping on the juice from his lunch box already. Of course, Changmin denied it so the conversation moved on to other things.
Though, all throughout lunch Kevin could feel Jacob's eyes on him and could sense the pout on the older's lips as if the boy was asking for something. Eventually, Kevin turned to Jacob and the boy was, in fact, pouting at him like a baby who was just denied candy in the line of a grocery store. "What is it?" Kevin asks the pouting baby.
"You never said that you love me," Jacob whined.
"What do you mean?" Kevin asks. "I tell you that I love you all the time."
"Not when we were walking to lunch, you just walked away."
Kevin sighed before a huge smile ( that he was obviously trying to hide ) covered his entire face. He took hold of Jacob's hands, his body now completely turned towards the cute boy. "I love you." He reassures. "Even when you're annoying the life out of me, I still love you."
Jacob smiled brightly at this, nodding. "I love you too." He says before taking his hands away from Kevin's and happily going back to his meal that his mom had packed for me in his red fabric lunch box that he had purposely got to match Kevin's blue fabric one. Since that's what best friends do. They get matching things and tell each other that they are loved. At least, that's how it worked in Jacob's mind and Kevin's too. Best of all, best friends should make each other feel the best ways possible. They should make your stomach do backflips when you laugh and make your cheeks hurt when you smile. They should make your heart burst.
For Jacob, Kevin was like the man at the other end of the cartoon strip that was too small to reach the handle of the oxygen tank but still managed to blow his balloon up all the way.
And for Kevin, Jacob was the man in the movie that had the brightest smile and the happiest energies, The one that made him forget his own name. The one with the bow and arrow that was always pointing right at his heart, seconds away from pulling the string back and giving the poor boy a heart attack.
That was how their friendship worked for them, they were in love with each other. And the line drawn between being boyfriends or best friends was as blurry as fogged glasses. Though, they were fine like that. Even with the confused looks or weird looks. They were for the most part fine with the fact that they weren't sure whether or not they were interested in each other because that's how it had always been for them.
They turned hearing the other two, who they had forgotten were their, mumbling under their breaths. "Please stop that, no in front of my mom's cooking," Sunwoo complains, followed by a nod from Changmin.
"At least go on a first date before doing all that, jeez," Changmin adds in, making the two affectionate boys faces go beet red.

"This is too hard!" Jacob complains, throwing a fit over the homework until he eventually buried himself into Sunwoo's black and white checkered bed sheets. Sunwoo sighed, facepalming before turning his desk chair so he was facing his bed.
"You should ask Kevin to help you, you know he's good at math or whatever." He tells Jacob. Jacob sits up, making eye contact with Sunwoo, sending him death glares.
"You're supposed to be the one helping me!" He whines.
"I don't know math all like that!" Sunwoo retorts before turning back in his chair.
"But what if Kevin makes fun of me for not being as good as him?" Jacob asks making Sunwoo squint in confusion.
"You know that Kevin isn't going to do that. Yall are like a jelly and peanut butter sandwich, he's probably going to hold your hand and make out with you before saying 'of course I'll help you, Jacob'." Sunwoo mocks Kevin in an annoying high-pitched voice before turning back to Jacob making Kissy faces and filling it in with Mwah sounds.
Jacob blushes, screeching at the younger and obnoxious boy. "Hey! Stop doing that!" Before he grabbed a pillow, stopping over to Sunwoo, hitting him harshly. Jacob and Sunwoo both laughed as Sunwoo kept making the noises, teasing his elder, and Jacob kept beating him with the Pillow.

Kevin sat grimly at the race car game as he watched his friend make out with his boyfriend. When Kevin agreed to come to the arcade he did not expect to be supervising Changmin and Younghoon eat each other faces off. He turned back to the race car wheel and started up another game, though of course, it wasn't as fun as it could have been. He stopped in the middle, quitting the game and standing to start walking around.
He looked around at various games and vending machines for something to entertain himself with. At this point, he just wanted to go home but his ride was busy trying to switch tongues with Changmin so there wouldn't be much in luck. Though, joy was brought back to him when he came across a crawl machine. Specifically, a superhero plush crawl machine with a plush Wolverine as an option. Normally he wouldn't have cared but Wolverine was Jacob's very favorite superhero.
He thought about the glow on Jacob's face during movie nights with Sunwoo, Jacob, Changmin, and himself and that alone brought a smile to his face. The way Jacob was clutch onto the bowl of popcorn so no one could take too much or onto his pillow ( because it was voted that Jacob couldn't hold the popcorn anymore for that reason ) during the exciting parts and stare and the screen like his life depended on it. Kevin's heart was beating out his chest, his palms were sweaty, and he was smiling at nothing again. This happened whenever he thought of Jacob because Jacob was his very best friend.
Kevin didn't try to wipe his smile away and dug into his pockets for change. And when he looked down at his hands to see nothing but was still smiling at the thought of Jacob was when he made the decision to come back and get Jacob a Wolverine Plushie one day.
