Winter Summerall
""Oh- Oh hes not- Hes not my boyfriend."
🐺🐺🐺
Currently I was at the café so I could escape a lecture from my grandad. I get that maybe punching Gabe wasn't the right choice but that doesn't mean I regret it. Cars and people skim past the window, I've never seen beacon hills this busy. There's clouds covering the sky and even a few raindrops falling.
It's never been this miserable either.
Nobody's smiling like they used to nor saying 'Hello' or maybe 'How are you'. It's like it's being overruled by rudeness and silence. Well silence up until the car horns beep or somebody screams at one another.
Not Scott or Lydia or anyone really knew what was going on with beacon hills. Why everyone was so afraid and cautious. I eventually just ignored everything going on outside and switched onto my phone to distract myself from the depressiveness outside but unfortunately I couldn't block it out since a customer was yelling at one of the waitresses.
When I looked behind me nobody seemed to be bothered about the yelling going on. I didn't understand why they didn't care or do anything.
"Can I sit here?" A boys voice says from next to me. Nolan was stood there with a small smile on his face. That's the first one I've seen in a few days.
"Oh yeah of course." I reply. He sits next to me and grabs a book out. "What you reading." He looks up at me and seems to study me. His eyes read me like a book going from one side to another.
"To Kill a Mockingbird." He closes the book showing me the front cover. "It's one of my favourites." Nolan smiles gently. He notices how dark beacon hills was but like everyone else he just carried on with what he was doing, unfazed by the monstrosity outside.
Why was everyone so glum today?
I take this time to study Nolan. His brown hair is moved to the side and he's so interested in his book. He has a small dimple where he is smiling at the book and he looks so soft and big hearted.
The café was cold aswell and I didn't think to bring a jacket so I was slightly shivering. Usual I can take the cold since my mum used to throw me in the cellar whenever I was naughty but today I couldn't bare it. I couldn't bare anything today.
Nolan noticed me and took his lacrosse jacket off. "Here."
He passes it to me. "Oh no im fine." I reject the offer but he pushes so I take it and put it on taking a whiff of his amazing cologne."thanks"
