As soon as I got home I noticed my grandad was out. I rushed to my room and sat in shock on my bed. It was silent for a while until my phone rang making me jump.

"Hello?" I said awnsering the call.

"Where are you? You said you'd meet us." Theo replied angrily over the phone.

"Oh- erm. Something came up and well I had to go home. I'll meet you guys in an hour or so I've got to go but." I quickly spat out ending the call and dropping my phone on the floor.

"Fuck." I groaned picking it up and checking for cracks. I turned my phone the right way up and I had a new message from someone.

From: Nolan
I need you to tell me right now, was it you I saw at the school

My eyes widened and I quickly thought of an excuse to reply with.

to: Nolan
Haven't been to the school in ages. Why don't you want to see me?

From: Nolan.
Winter I'm not messing around. This could cause my death.

To: Nolan
I wasn't at the school, stop being so dramatic and grow up. Bye Nolan.

From; Nolan.

Fuck sake winter!

I let out a big sigh before curling up into a ball on my bed and closing my eyes, hugging the first ever teddy that my mum gave me.

I debated whether I should tell Scott and the others. It wasn't actually Nolan but if I snitched on gabe then Monroe would be angrier and we could all be dead sooner rather than later.

But if I dont, Scott will never know who hurt his mum and my best friend and I don't know if I can handle the guilt.

I look at the photo frame next to me which was a picture of me, my dad and my mum from when I was like 3. I gave a soft smile before laying like a starfish on the bed and 're thinking ever decision I'm making
