"Peter Benjamin Parker!"
The use of his full name caused the man to stop his actions and turn around. You had stopped walking and the sight before him made his heart simultaneously stop and increase in speed; he never understood how that was possible, but if anyone was able to enact such a reaction, it was you.
He swore you were the most beautiful person he had ever seen.
You had a pout on your lips, but he could see the smile trying to fight its way through.
"Yes, love? What's with the formalities? Are we back to that now? Should I also be using your full name? Or would you prefer Mrs. Parker?"
Rolling your eyes, you let out a scoff.
"NooOo, I'm pretty attached to the cute pet names, but we are gonna have bigger problems than me using your full name if you don't return my ice cream to me right now."
"But babe," he pouted, mimicking your expression, "you said I could have some of yours."
"Yeah, I did, but that was all the way back at the parlor! Which was about half of my ice cream cone ago. So I'd say you definitely had more than 'some.'"
"Yeah, but I didn't really like mine," Peter sighed, as if that was good enough reason for you to just accept the switch of desserts at this point.
"Then why do you keep ordering it every time we go, Peter?" You questioned, the smile on your face finally breaking through, never being able to stay mad, even when joking, at the beautiful person stood in front of you for long.
"I dunno really. I just keep hoping it will be different. Y'know. The older you get, the more mature your palette gets kind of thing?"
"You ordered rocky road, Peter!" If at all possible, your smile continued to grow, as your heart grew fonder.
"I know that! I'm the one eating it!"
"No, you aren't, Peter. I am, because you took my cone after taking one bite of yours."
"But you picked a way better flavor," He pouted, "I thought you loved me, shouldn't you be willingly sharing with me?"
"I do love you, Peter. I just don't understand why you don't change your ice cream order."
"For the consistency, babe. I owe it to myself, and to the ice cream flavor, to always give Rocky Road a try."
You rolled your eyes at his explanation.
"Oh my gosh...I married an absolute idiot."
At this, Peter's eyebrows rose, giving you a questioning look. His smile growing to match yours.
"Did you really now?"
He took two steps towards you, the half-eaten ice cream cone in his left hand long forgotten, as he reached his right arm to pinch your side through the thick, red pea-coat you had on. Your body instantly reacting to his touch as you let out a squeal.
"Peter! Stop that tickles!"
Peter only laughed and continued his actions, urging you to tell him that you loved him. Your laughs filled the air, warming him up and making his heart fill with joy. He would never get tired of moments like this with you.
"C'mon! All you have to do is say you love me, and then I can stop! I'm legally required to continue until you admit it!"
"Okay, okay, OKAY! Fine!" you let out, tears running down your cheeks from laughing so hard, "I love you. I love you, Peter Benjamin Parker. Even when you do things like this and steal my ice cream. I love you."
