Polyamory (from Greek πολύ poly, "many, several", and Latin amor, "love") is the practice of, or desire for, intimate relationships with more than one partner, with the consent of all partners involved. It has been described as "consensual, ethical, and responsible non-monogamy".
This is set in a soulmate au where when the universe decides your soulmate, the first words they say to you are permanently on your skin. (This means you can be friends before and not know)

Now, on with the story!
🖤🖤🖤🖤🖤🖤🖤🖤🖤🖤🖤🖤"Where is he?" Skye asked, leaning back into Marshall's chest.
"I have no clue but I'm so bored." He whined. The two sat on Skye's bed, waiting for their boyfriend to arrive from track practice. As usual, he was talking his sweet time.
"Can I see it?" Marshall asked, suddenly sitting up and smiling like a child. Skye rolled her eyes lovingly and sighed.
"Yours or Chase's?"
"Mine." Skye laughed and rolled up the sleeve of her hoodie, revealing the sentence that was permanently on her wrist.
My voice is back but I give up - I'm quitting school and becoming a stripper!
Now, the funny thing about Skye and Marshall's linked tattoos were that Marshall had gained his a week prior. The day the universe decided that he was Chase and Skye's soulmate, he lost his voice so a week before Skye got hers, Marshall's left wrist said,
You're really quiet, are you okay?
And he had a whole romantic pick up line ready! He just forgot that after a terrible math lesson and said the first thing that came to mind. It was an amusing story to tell people when they asked about the tattoos.
Saying that, Chase and Skye's weren't serious sweet ones either. The year before, Skye's right wrist had;
Found a Hamilton meme, wanna see?
On it while Chases read;
Of course - that's basically an offer of marriage.
It was a strange thing that the relationship had three of them but after a little while, they made it work and wouldn't have it any other way.
The hardest part was telling people. Yes the universe had decided that the three friends would become soulmates but it wasn't widely accepted that there could be more than two, mostly because it was rare. Luckily, most people they knew - their families included - were very accepting.
Skye picked up her phone which had started ringing. It was Rocky.
"Hey... Woah, slow down... I knew it! What's it say?" From the sounds of it, Rocky found his soulmate. Marshall motioned for Skye to put the call on loud speaker. "Hold on one sec... okay go."
"Am I on speaker?"
"Yeah. Now spill." Marshall said eagerly. "Start with who."
"It's Zuma."
"Called it!" Skye cheered while Marshall slipped a twenty her way.
"Basically, I went to his place to see where the hell he'd been for the past two weeks. He literally took one look at me and started crying."
"What's the tattoo say?"
"I've been used by guys, been hurt by girls, hit by my mum and cursed by the world so I keep losing weight just trying to be perfect."
The three were silent, they had no idea how badly their friend was suffering. He put on a mask at school and none of them knew.
"What's his say?" Skye asked.
"You're not alone."
About half an hour later, Marshall and Skye were still waiting for Chase to arrive. The pair were watching a movie, Marshall not really paying much attention. An idea came to him for a way to cure his boredom.
He wrapped his arms around his female partner and nuzzled her neck. Skye turned to him and smiled, running a hand through his hair and turning back to the movie. Marshall smirked and gently pressed a line of kisses along Skye's neck. When that still didn't get her attention, the submissive male of the relationship decided he had to up his game a little. He moved to Skye's collarbone and kissed a few times before sneakily starting to lick and bite at his lover's skin.
"Marshall." She whined, moving her head a little. The black haired boy hummed innocently and continued working on the hickey that would soon mark Skye's skin.
"Starting without me I see?" Came a smug voice from the doorway, the two looked up to see Chase, out of breath, leaning against the wall and folding his arms.
The two jumped apart and ran to him, tackling their lover in a hug, causing them to stumble and fall on the bed with Marshall sandwiched between the blonde and brunette.
"Alright, calm down, Loves." Chase laughed, gently pushing the other two off him.
"How about no? We've been waiting for ages." Marshall whined as Chase left a kiss on his cheek.
"You've got some making up to do." Skye smirked. Oh no - Marshall knew that look.
Without another word, Chase's shirt was on the floor, revealing his well-toned chest and his tattoo that was linked with Marshall. Right over his heart it read:
Here comes the general!
Hamilton references and jokes? Of course - it was the entire history class' obsession. Marshall's tattoo on his chest said:
It's boring when you're quiet.
It was quite sweet to think about for Marshall. He'd always been pretty insecure about himself but his markings reminded him that two people - at the very least - cared a great deal about him.
While he was caught up in his thoughts, he completely missed that his other two partners were getting carried away without him.
"Are you just gonna sit there or what?" Skye asked, pulling her lips away from Chase's.
"No ma'am." Marshall laughed and scrambled over to them.

"Why is Chase carrying you?" Rocky laughed, his arm protectively around Zuma who was wearing a hoodie from his soulmate. They looked at Skye who was laying in the brunette's arms as they approached their friends.
"You really wanna know?" Chase smirked.
"Christ Chase! One day you'll break 'em." Zuma sniggered, pulling himself closer to Rocky's side. The grey haired boy leaned down and kissed his head.
All of a sudden, a clicking could be heard from the corridor. Rocky and Zuma tried to contain their laughter as they noticed Marshall struggling with a pair of crutches.
"Morning Sweet." Chase smiled innocently. Marshall shot him a sideways glare that clearly said 'don't talk to me, this is your fault.'
"Come on," Skye teased. "you love us too much to keep quiet."
"Yeah I do." Marshall sighed, smiling and hugging his soulmates.

And that's a wrap! What was your favourite chapter in this book and favourite couple ( even if they were just mentioned and not 'featured' as such).
Can we also appreciate the fact I wrote protective/dominant Rocky in this book and a sweet/shy Chase? I usually find it hard but I think I have to do it more often!
Thanks for reading and can't wait start and continue more stories for you all.
Seriously, you all make the stress of writing worth it. ❤️
