(Klaus P.O.V)
I was free. It took forever to do so but I was free and wounded. The scratches, gouges and slashes wasn't healing as I kept limping and running.
It was pitch black. If it wasn't for my heightened senses I'd would have fell or hit headfirst into a tree.
It was cold too. Freezing cold. The brisk breeze chilling me to the bone as I made my journey south. I had no idea where I was. And I was starving. I heard the sound of running water and recognized the spot I was at.
It was the place where I killed Jenna, the vampiric aunt of the Petrova Doppleganger Elena. I felt a slight pang of guilt for what I did but it diminished just as soon as I heard a twig snap as I went flying into one of the cold Brazziers, now rusted with age.
I turned to face my attacker and I saw her. It was the girl who observed me during my captors and she looked annoyed and irritated.
"I fished a coin out of my pocket and tossed it at her feet. "If you pick it up. You live." I stated venomously.
She eyed me before her eyes went black and everything darkened. The shadows grew blacker and more dense. The feeling was suffocating as she faded into the shadows. Disappearing from my sight.
"You should have stayed" the shadows hissed as I did a 360 trying to find her.
The darkness began to take forms as warriors of shadows began to emerge. They were old, ancient the armor they wore was that of mythical times. Their eyes were burning green as they pulled out swords and lances.
"Pick up the coin or die" the shadows sneered. The coin by my feet.
Without hesitation I lashed out knocking one of the many enemies to the floor before snatching his spear.
I spun around knocking a few heads off before spinning around as they kept coming. One against a thousand. I kept winning. Killing the ghouls over and over and over again. But I was growing tired. I lost my balance getting me a slash to my chest. It seared and burned worse then vervain as I snarled my eyes going amber.
"Choose Hybrid. Death or Capture." A skeleton spoke. The voice feminine and soft yet lethal.
I saw the coin as a fresh wave attacked. I dived and ran. Vamping away and ending on a cliff. The query gently swaying behind me. I started coughing, a glob of blood coming up as I fell to the floor.
I looked up at the night sky. The stars brightly shinning as I grinned through bloody teeth as I picked up the sword and turned around. Getting to my feet as she appeared out from the trees.
"Your gonna keep on fighting me? You vampires never learn do you. Even though your immortal you will always be alone" She snarled.
Something flung out of the treeline flying at her. She leaped off the ground into one of the trees.
"Only. He's not alone" Stefan hissed as he sped toward her. I watched her eyes go black before she faded back into darkness.
"How Ironic. You saving me" I coughed as I fell to the ground, shuddering and grimancing.
Stefan rolled his eyes before he helped me to my feet and got me to his car. I groaned as my back hit his seat.
"Stefan. How did you find me?" I asked, going into anpther bloody coughing fit.
"The query is ths place where I go to think. I was coming to talk to you about Damon and the situation brewing. " He finished as he drove.
"Interesting" I stated before passing out.
