She pulled up into the driveway and bounced on her feet as she got to the door of her house. With closer inspection, she noticed a note that was taped to the wood.

Went out for dinner. We're sure that you're somewhat capable of making food for yourself.

Her heart immediately shattered once she finished reading the letter but yet again Skylar was used to her family leaving her out of activities. She looked at her watch to see that it was only 3 o'clock in the afternoon, it wasn't even time for dinner yet. She let out a sigh and opened the door once she unlocked it then headed over to the television to turn it on.

The screen turned on to the very familiar voice of a man. In fact, it was a movie she was watching. A knight was galloping through the woods while a minstrel was singing a doing about that knight.

Bravely bold Sir Robin,
Rode forth from Camelot,
He was not afraid to die,
Oh, brave Sir Robin.

She recognized those blue eyes everywhere and that voice she fell in love with. Oh stop Skylar you just met him an hour ago, she thought to herself.

RIIINNNG!

The phone rang which cut her thinking off. She let out a sigh as she turned the television and walked over to the phone, "Hello?" She answered as she put the phone to her ear.

"Oh, Skylar. I thought your parents would be the first to answer." The sound of Eric's voice came through on the other side.

"Oh, no, they decided to go out for an early dinner without me. So I'm just sitting here watching the telly." She told him as he let out a sigh of disappointment.

"Them bastards. Well, would you like to go out for a picnic? I made some sandwiches." He asked her as she tapped her fingers on the counter contemplating whether or not to go.

"Yeah actually." She smiled which made him smile on the other end of the phone as well.

"Alright, I'll pick you up in 20 minutes then, alright?" He asked her as she giggled to herself as he chuckled on the other side.

"Right. I'll see you here. Bye." She said her goodbye and hung up. Skylar looked around the living room and kitchen as she began to get into a giggling state of mind.

She sang along to her Black Sabbath record as she got ready for the picnic, "In the field of bodies burning, as the war machine keeps turning..." She danced around the kitchen until there was a knock at the door. Skylar turned off her record player then walked to the front door of the house and saw Eric standing there with a huge smile on her face.

"Hello, Skylar. Are you ready to go?" He asked her which made her giggle because of his cute accent. Stop it, Skylar you just met him, she thought to herself.

"Yeah, of course." She smiled as he let her close the door behind her then lock it.

He leads her to the car and opened the passenger side door for her as she climbed in. They both put on their seat belts then drove off as Eric was at the wheel, "I was watching the telly and saw you in a movie about knights." She started up a conversation.

"Oh yeah, that was Holy Grail, a movie that I filmed 3 years ago with Monty Python. It was a shitty time to film though, it was cold and wet and it wasn't just my pants." He grinned at the near mentioning of the horrible events when filming which got her to giggle.

"Well hopefully for your next movie, the conditions will be better." She looked over at him as he turned onto the street with the park.

"We're actually going to Tunisia next year to film a movie actually." He told her as he parks in one of the spots on the street. She nodded as he stopped the vehicle then got out as Eric collected the picnic basket from the back seat.

"So what's the movie gonna be about?" She asked him as they began to walk in the park to find an open space to enjoy their meal.

"Jesus Christ, lust for glory." He chuckled to himself as walked past the garden and onto a plain grass field.

"Aren't you afraid that will strike people the wrong way?" She questioned him with concern as they laid their blanket on an open space of the field.

"It's not meant to poke fun at Jesus, really. It's poking fun at how people see religion." He explained to her as they both sat down on the sheet, "Skylar, why do your parents treat you like that? If you don't mind me asking." He asked her while handing Heather a sandwich.

"They never wanted a girl. When my brother was born, they totally forgot I existed. So that's why I'm rarely ever home. What's the point to be there if I just get ignored all the time?" She explained to him as he looked down at the blanket.

"Skylar, promise no matter how much you hate them, don't stop talking to them." He quickly looked up at her as she gave him a look of confusion.

"What's the point? Never talk to me anyway." She brought up as he pointed a finger at her.

"Hey, hey, hey. I've never had a good childhood and I barely spoke to my mother." He told as she took a bite of her sandwich.

"Alright, I think they'll pay more attention to me once I get a boyfriend." She put her sandwich back on the plate then looked at him.

"When do I meet them?" He asked her which caught her by surprise. Heather looked down and blinked a couple of times as Eric let out a little laugh, "I'm just kidding you love. Not until the second date." He continued on as he gently rubbed her back.

"Well, maybe we can consider this a first date then." She suggested to him as he looked her up and down.

"I don't know yet. I don't even know when you were born." He teased her a little bit as he sat behind her and supported himself on by his arm on the ground.

"April 26th, 1944, you?" She answered him in the simplest way possible. He flicked his hair behind his shoulders and smiled down at her.

"March 29th, 1943." He replied as she looked back up at him and smiled them moved away from him to sit in front of him, "You know, Skylar. You're different from any girl I've met before." He continued to talk.

"Really? How so?" She asked which made him look up to the blue sky and sigh out of happiness.

"You know, just around making my day a hundred times better and happier. You're sweet, kind, and not to mention you're beautiful." He looked straight into her eyes.

"You know, Eric? I feel the exact same way." She smiled at him as he crawled a little closer to her, "You're very kind, caring, and your super duper handsome." She continued on as he brought his face closer to her's.
