For some context: in today's video Carrie asked the question 'what's your doughnut?' As in what is the thing that drives you forward, like if a doughnut were to be dangled in front of you. So that's what today's poem is going to about.
***
What is life if there isn't a driving force,
Behind your actions and and thoughts.
Though such an important concept the knowledge of such a driving force is something that remains barely a concept to most.
To have a driving force is to live, and to live fully is to strive for something.
Until that driving force, that doughnut, is found
Life is not being lived but rather survived.
So to live is to strive and to strive is to have a driving force.
To live is to have a doughnut.
