umbrellas shield from the tears of the heavens,
what shields from the tears of the earth?
should the tears of the earth even be shielded?
after all, tears are a human experience.
would protection from all tears revoke our humanity?
to cry is to have emotions,
of joy, heartbreak, relief, mourning.
to shield is to prevent,
prevention of heaven's tears brings drought and famine,
would preventing earth's tears do the same?
