The ballroom was filled with tons of people from Robot City to Rivet Town. They were thrilled that Bigweld Industries is now in proper hands. Rodney has helped the citizens of Robot City with little resources and money, now he can help more with vast resources.
The people were dancing, drinking, celebrating among their friends. Rodney and Cappy were talking with prospective clients. They were surprised at how young Rodney was, but they were taken shine to him. With his honesty and remarks, they couldn't be more happy at where Bigweld Industries stands.
Loretta and Fender were talking with Piper and Crank, and Disel and Lug. They were laughing and drinking, having a great time.
The same could not be said for Aurora, she sat by herself at the bar. She thought about her savior, she treated him poorly, and wanted to make up for it. Her day couldn't get any worse, men kept flirting with her. She denied their advances, sipping on her martini.
A man began to approach her, smirking at her once Aurora looked upon him.
"A pretty girl like you shouldn't be alone." He smirked, but Aurora rolled her eyes and paid no attention to him. He continued, "Why don't you finish that drink of yours and meet me on the dancefloor?"
"I'm waiting for my date, so why don't you walk away?" Aurora said, with a hint of annoyance in her voice. At this point, she'd lie about a date in order for this man to leave.
"Is that so? I find that odd, because if you were mine, I make sure no other man got near you." The man made a move to put his hand on his shoulder, but his hand was caught.
Alex caught his hand, he held it up. "I do make sure, but there are men out there who can't take no for an answer, like you." Alex let go of his hand roughly.
Aurora was shocked, he saved her again, but this time, she was more than happy.
"I think it's best if you get on going, wouldn't want to cause a scene or make a mess." Alex said in a low tone, the man quickly nodded his head and left. Aurora watched the man leave, she chuckled and turn back.
"Thank you-" To Aurora's disappointment, her savior dissapeared yet again. She quickly spotted him ordering a drink, she made her way to him fast.
"You know, it's rude to keep a woman waiting." Alex turned to her, smirking as he saw her.
"But I thought that you always want to keep them waiting. They'll come to you, and look at here, you certainly did." Alex couldn't help but smirk in pride, knowing he was right.
"You got lucky." Aurora chuckled, she looked up at him. "About earlier, the first time we met. I was rude, thank you for getting rid of those guys, and this last guy. I hope you can forgive me and we can start over."
"Of course I can, I forgive you." He smiles at her, "Since we're starting over, and you didn't get my name last time, allow me to introduce myself."
As Alex looked at her, a smile was upon his face. "I'm Alex Walker." Aurora thought her heart stopped beating. Alex gave her a dashing smile, it wasn't a smirk or grin, but a genuine smile. Aurora had control all of her energy to stop her blush becoming obvious.
"Hello Alex, I'm Aurora Gray." Aurora gave out her hand and shook hands with Alex.
"It's nice to meet you." Alex smiled again at her.
Before the two of them could say anything else, an announcement was called. Cappy was on stage, a smile on face as she was standing on a podium.
"We now come to the hour of introducing our host and new chief executive officer, Rodney Copperbottom. A man who started from the bottom but now is helping his fellow citizens." Cappy smiled at the crowd as they clapped for Rodney as he took the stage.
