"Cat fight at Bigweld Industries? Read the details here! Rodney Copperbottom, our hero or a problem starter? Competition, is Rodney Copperbottom going out of commission?" Ratchet laughs as he reads the titles of many newspapers articles. Alex sits across from Ratchet, Ratchet was drinking a glass of scotch.
"Oh and this is my favorite one, 'Boy Scout Vs Pretty Boy'." Ratchet let out a roar of laughter.
"Boy scout, oh I love that, I could only imagine the look on Copperbottom's face." Ratchet placed down the newspaper.
"Well, he was pretty angry, but he couldn't do much because his friend escorted me out of the building." Ratchet took another drink.
"Speaking of that friend of his, I saw this in the tabloids."
"Why bother to read tabloids when they are full of lies?" Alex quipped back, knowing where this was heading.
"You have a point, but this particular issue caught my attention when I see you and that red head dancing on the front page."
Alex looked at Ratchet quickly, he didn't hear about that.
Ratchet lifted up a magazine full of Robot City's latest gossip. On the front page there was Alex, dancing closely with Aurora. Alex had to repress the urge to smile at it.
"I told you not to talk to her and now you put our mission at risk." Ratchet threw the magazine roughly at Alex.
"The mission is not at risk, I still accomplished what you wanted. I got Copperbottom angry, and the media caught it. Once they see him as a mean executive, the people will turn against him." Alex grinned, he saw many people at the ball looking at him and Rodney. He knew they didn't like what they saw from their new leader.
"Be that as it may, this girl, she's a distraction, and she's a close friend to Copperbottom. She's a threat, and you are not to talk to her anymore." Ratchet hissed, he walked over to Alex, he hovered over Alex. Ratchet had his eyes narrowed and looked very angry.
"Who are you, my father?" Alex scoffs, "You don't get to tell me who I can and can't see. We're merely business partners, I only wanted to align with you because you knew Rodney more than I do. Now, I think it's safe to say, I know more about Rodney than you ever did. I don't even need your help anymore. So if I were you..." Alex stood, meeting Ratchet's intense gaze, full of anger.
"I wouldn't make threats against me. I can kick you out to the curb and let them tear you apart. They wouldn't hesitant after the disaster you caused." Alex spat out, he would not let Ratchet make threats at him and try to walk all over him.
Ratchet couldn't help but shrink under Alex's threat. He sat back down, looking at Alex.
"So what's next? I thought you had some meeting to get to."
Alex nodded and stands, "Yes, the meeting of my board of directors. Since we opened up yesterday, we need to discuss some documents and what not." He grabbed his coat and began to head out.
"I will be out for the rest of the day, I'll contact you later. Don't do anything stupid while I'm gone." Alex opened the door, but Ratchet called out to him.
"How can I when you're taking all the stupidity with you?" Ratchet hollered, smirking as he did.
Alex didn't bother to respond, he merely snorted at him and left the premises.
As soon as Alex left, Ratchet threw his glass across the room.
"He thinks he can make a idiot out of me?! Oh that stupid fool!" Ratchet roared, he kicked over the table. The magazines and newspapers flew across the room.
