04. 12 HOURS.

"hey. listen to me, please?" dahyun's voice cracked as she look back to the latter who was already ready to open the door. she took a deep breath and sat at the floor.

jaebum creased his forehead, confused at what the girl was doing, he let go of the door knob and sat near the door, "speak." his head leaned back as he watch the girl lowering her head.

"do you remember the last day you saw me?" jaebum raised his eyebrows, because he knows it was atleast four three years ago, he kept quiet and closed his eyes, he didn't actually know why dahyun is explaining herself, he just listened to kill time.

"i was waiting for you, you said you were gonna say something. okay, i'll be honest, i knew you liked me since i started college." dahyun sighs, she couldn't bear to look at jaebum at the moment.

guilty, shameful, and nervous. you can describe her as the three of that.

"i turned you down, right? i told you.. i only saw you as a friend. i hurt you, and i'm really sorry for that." dahyun closes her eyes, "but. before that day, something happened."

jaebum rolled his eyes, he was curious yet dahyun is giving him some suspense. "do you remember jaehye? your friend since kindergarten."

"she said you confessed to her, she said you love her. she said to stay away from you." jaebum creased his forehead, did jaehye really did that?

"that's why when you confessed to me, i was so confused. you confessed in public, jaebum! jaehye was also there-"

"so you chose to believe her? and you chose to leave me there? what the hell dahyun?"dahyun looked down, jaebum scoffed st her in full madness.
"i'm really sorry for h-hurting you." dahyun whispered but jaebum heard it, he chuckled slightly with disappoint-
ment.

"why? if jaehye didn't lie, would you still turn me down?" dahyun didn't know what to answer, she didn't know what to do.

"look at me dahyun!" the lass flinched as the boy's voice hardened with full authority. she slowly looked up, and then.. there, she saw the jaebum from three years ago. she looked at his eyes, it was full of pain, sadness, and angriness. just like his eyes that day, with full of confusion.

"yes right? either way, you'd turn me down. either way, you'd hurt me. you're saying sorry because you'd turn me down, dahyun, not because you hurt me." a tear slowly fell from jaebum's right eye. and dahyun, was shook, her chest tightened, because everything he said was true.

she would still turn him down even if jaehye didn't lie to her, "did you know? for the past five years i've known you, i thought you liked me back. but right at the moment you said sorry because of jaehye, i knew, you didn't like me back. you showed me, you made me feel that you liked me back, but you did that?"

dahyun couldn't stare at him anymore, it pained her, everything she sees in jaebum pained her, but what hurt her more? it was the thought that jaebum saw her.. as a pathetic girl.

"i don't know what to do with you anymore, dahyun. you could just say sorry directly because you thought i wasn't enough for you. those excuses are useless." she then heard him move, as a sign of him standing up.

"you're ranting about the new me when you were the one who changed me? fuck off." dahyun panicked for awhile, she didn't want jaebum to leave yet.

she stood and hurriedly ran near where he is, she pulled him then, boom..

their lips were connected.
