Smudged Mirror (Finished)

Chapter 10:

"Tony had to follow us here," said Liam.

"I figured she would follow us. But how?"

"I don't know. We need to find our how."

Victoria had just turned 3. She was in her bed when she heard the conversation about Tony.

"What are they talking boush?" A few minutes later the house went quiet. She started to hear noise near her closet so she went deep under her covers.

"Vickyy?! Where are youuu?" asked Tony.

"I'm here. What do you want? You don't sound like mommy." Vicky got out from underneath the covers and sat up.

"I know Vicky," said Tony as she sat on her bed.

"Where are you?"

"I'm right here." Tony touched Vicky's hand. It felt so ruffled and hard Vicky jumped out of bed and ran to the other side of the room.

"Vicky, I'm sorry if I scared you. My name is Tony. I'm your mother. Well, your ghost mother so you could call me Mama."

Vicky pondered this statement then replied with, "I heard mommy and daddy talking about you."

Tony moved closer to Vicky. "Well, what did they say?"

"They said that you killed my older sister. That you've been trying to kill them. That you followed us here from our other home." Vicky couldn't see anyone, but she knew Tony was still there. She remained quiet, then finally spoke.

"All of what they said is true, dear." Vicky ran back under the covers. "But," Vicky uncovered herself and looked into the darkness, "I need help. I've been locked as a ghost for as long as I can remember. Since your mother and father don't wanna help me, I will ask you: Do you wanna set my soul free?" asked Tony.

"Mama, I have to think. Come see me tomorrow night."

"Baby girl, I know this is hard for you but you have to understand that if you don't help, someone in this family is going to die." Vicky stared into the darkness.

"Like I said, come see me tomorrow night and I'll answer yes or no. I love you." Vicky rolled over and Tony watched her as she fell asleep.
