Mido was dressed and sitting on the bed when Namikawa finally finished getting ready. He sat gracefully next to Mido on the bed, placing his hand over Mido's. "Are you going to tell me what we're doing today?" Namikawa asked eagerly. "You'll find out soon enough." Mido smirked. "But I want to know now!" Namikawa whined, playfully. Namikawa placed his head in the crook of Mido's neck, gracefully making his way to Mido's cheek. "No, not now, love. If we get started with this now, we'll lose track of time and be late for our grand event." Replied Mido. "Oh, fine." Namikawa whined, slightly disappointedly. The two men went down to the garage and got in Mido's car, a simple black Lincoln sedan. Mido played Andrea Bocceli in the car on the way to the coffee shop. Namikawa always liked Boceli; in fact, he was one of his favorite singers. It was a beautiful, clear day, perfect for going out and about. As soon as the two men exited their car in the parking lot behind the small coffee shop, Mido walked over to Namikawa, wrapped his arms around his waist, and passionately kissed his lips. Namikawa was surprised and caught off guard at first, but he kissed back, just as passionately. After Mido broke away, he kissed Reiji's nose lightly. "Now we can start with this." Shingo teased, smirking. He took Namikawa's hand and led him into the shop. The two men walked up to the counter, hands intertwined. "Two medium Earl Gray teas, please." Mido said to the cashier. "I get all tingly when you take control like that, Shingo." Namikawa smirked as they picked up their drinks. They walked over to a small, round mahogany table by the window and sat down. Mido started humming some notes from the Title Song of Phantom of the Opera. "Is that supposed to be a hint? You are singing one of my favorite plays." Namikawa asked eagerly. "I guess you'll just have to wait and find out." Mido teased, smiling. Neither one of them liked giant public displays of affection, and the amount of self-restraint present in both of them was clearly evident. Namikawa's mouth twitched, longing for a touch from Mido. Mido sensed it somehow, and tenderly ran his index finger down Namikawa's lips. "Shh." Mido whispered. Namikawa blushed quietly, trying to hide it. They finished their teas and left the shop. Upon getting back in the car, Mido wrapped a bandana around Namikawa's eyes, so he wouldn't catch the surprise too early. Namikawa agreed to this, feeling slight butterflies of arousal upon Mido's playful touch. After tying the bandana, Mido ran his finger down Namikawa's face one last time before the surprise. Mido began to drive smoothly down the road on the way to the men's romantic surprise outing. Soon enough, they were at the top-secret surprise place. They were seeing Phantom of the Opera at the theater. Secretly, Reiji was a huge theatre fan. Only those close to Namikawa knew how to see past his stone-cold exterior. Because of this, being with Shingo made Namikawa feel liberated, in a way; he didn't have to put on a facade. Mido stood Namikawa in front of the Playbill marquee for Phantom, undid the blindfold, and slipped a ticket into Namikawa's hands. "Are you ready for your betrothal surprise?" Mido said as he untied the blindfold. Reiji took a second to process his surroundings. Right away he saw the Phantom marquee sign, and he could guess what it was. He knew he was right when he examined the ticket in his hands. "Oh my- Shingo! It's perfect! I'm at a loss of words!" Namikawa beamed, too excited to form many coherent thoughts. "Then don't speak." Mido said as he fiercely kissed Namikawa in celebration of their engagement and the show. Mido ran his fingers through Namikawa's hair, and Namikawa wrapped his arms around Mido's waist, pulling him closer. Namikawa moved his hands up Mido's body and stroked his hair. In that moment, time didn't exist as it did in the real world. As their bodies intertwined, they felt like they were drifting. Namikawa pulled away first. "We can pick this up at home, my love."Namikawa said. Mido flashed an expression of disappointment. Reiji had a real reason for cutting the action short- he was getting hot with every second. "I made us a dinner reservation at Orin. It's soon, so shall we go, love?" Mido said, putting passion into the "love." Mido and Namikawa walked hand-in-hand, smiling lovingly at each other all the way to the restaurant. They sat down at a long stove-top table, the kind that they cook your food in front of you on. They both looked over their menus. They decided to share the fried rice and beef. Shortly after, the chef came to perform his art. There were lots of flambés, tossing of food into the air (only to have it miraculously land perfectly on the stove every time), and the chef even made a rice heart. During the rice heart preparation, Mido quickly kissed Namikawa's cheek, making him blush quietly. The chef served the food, said his pleasantries, and left the two men. Namikawa and Mido fed each other parts of their dinner. Namikawa took Mido's left hand, the one with the ring on it, and played with the ring on Mido's ring finger. The time of the show grew nearer, so Namikawa paid for the meal and took Mido's hand, playfully and excitedly leading him to the theater. The men took their seats in Box 4. (not box five, of course. That box was to be left for The Phantom.) The overture began to play, and Namikawa's heart rate soared, as he realized that this was really happening. Upon reading the cast list on the playbill, Namikawa saw his dream come true: Andrea Boccelli was playing The Phantom. He gasped aloud at this realization, grabbing Mido and kissing him fiercely. "Oh, Shingo... This has definitely been one of the best days I've come to live! Tonight couldn't be more perfect!" Naminawa beamed. A tear of happiness rolled down Namikawa's face. They held hands the entire show. During "Music of the Night," Namikawa and Mido acted it out, standing just as The Phantom and Christine were. Mido was in the Phantom's place in their reenactment. Mido stroked Namikawa's neck and hair, with the occasional kiss in the nape of Namikawa's neck. This only aroused Namikawa more than the performance would alone. During the Entre'Acte, Namikawa just sat there in awe of the beautiful first half. When "All I Ask of You" was being performed, Mido teared up just a little. At the end of the song, the two shared a passionate kiss; so passionate that the theater began to feel as if it were getting warmer. After the show ended, Namikawa felt tears of joy form in his eyes. Mido hugged him tightly, pecking him on the cheek and resting his head on Namikawa's shoulder. "Love me, that's all I ask of you." Mido sang to Namikawa.
