Chapter 5 -The Worst Best Day Ever

Ashley POV

I woke up the next morning with a pain in my wrists. I had completely forgotten about last night. With a sigh and a slight groan, I turned over and looked at my alarm. It read 9:13am. I was so happy that it was Summer Vacation. Once I realized I wasn't going to be able to go back to sleep, I decided to sit up and get my laptop. I heard the sound of the t.v downstairs and two muffled voices that sounded like Sarah and my mom.

I opened my laptop and it was already on my email screen. 1 New message. From who? I asked myself. I clicked on it and looked at the sender's name. OH MY GOSH!!!!!

I screamed like I had just seen Nash Grier. No way on earth was this happening! I got a response from the Magcon talent agency!!! My mom and Sarah came bursting through the door, they looked as if they were really worried.

"What is it? Omg are you okay?!" Sarah asked.

"THE MAGCON TALENT AGENCY RESPONDED TO ME!!!!!" I squealed. I was fangirling so hard, and I hadn't even read the email yet.

"Oh, I thought it was important..." My mom said, exasperated.

Ouch. That hurt. I went back to screaming. They both got huge grins and came and sat down with me.

"WELL?! read it!" Sarah demanded.

I cleared my throat and braced myself for a rejection.

Dear miss Ashley Watson,

Thank you very much for your talent entry! I myself have reviewed it, along with hundreds of others, and very much enjoyed it! Unfortunately, we only have two spots...

I paused, my heart sank. I decided to stop reading. Sarah grabbed my laptop from me and read it to herself.

"OH MY FREAKING GOSH KEEP READING!!!!" she yelled.

My heart fluttered with a glimmer of hope in my chest. Maybe. Just maybe, today all my dreams could come true. I closed my eyes and prayed for a moment.

Please God. Please.

I opened my eyes and took a deep breath. Okay.

We would also like to tell you why it took so long to get you a reply. It was that after our current members looked at our top 100 favorite entries, yours made it! We then had them narrow it down to their top 50, then 25, then 10, and then they had to make the tough choice of the two that they'd be working with soon. My shock was undeniable! But I had the air knocked out of me when I read that Jacob was going to be touring with us also. This was not only the worst day ever, but also the best. I had a feeling my life was about to become amazing, but still go down hill. I never prepared for the coming events.
