I sat in a pile of clothes in front of my cherry colored wardrobe in my room. I thought I had enough time, but it was already 5:49pm and I was no where close to ready! I had texted Sarah earlier to come help me. What's taking her so long? I asked myself. I put my head in my hands in despair. This night was already heading South. Just then, My saving grace arrived. Well, mire like my saving Sarah. She walked in and shut my door. She wasn't ready either.

"I'm so sorry it took me so long to get here! I--" she cut off mid-sentence and  looked at me with wide eyes.

"Not. A. Word. Sarah." I said already tired and stressed.

She pored out the contents of her Under Armour® bag and I looked at the contents. A giant makeup bag, a skin tight black dress, a looser looking blue dress, two pairs of silver sequined heels, a curling wand, a bag of hair accessories, and a jewelry bag.

"We're going on a date Sarah. Not the red carpet!" I exclaimed in awe.

It was a bit overboard and overwhelming, but... Well... Sarah IS overwhelming. I checked my phone. 1 New message: Jacob.

"Hey, I can't pick you up, sorry beautiful but my car broke down so Cameron has to come help me fix it up. I might be a couple minutes late."

I replied quickly.

"Its fine, Sarah and I might be a little late too, see ya there!"

We quickly got dressed, with very little time left.

Sarah's POV:

-------------

Ashley and I took our time getting ready. Just kidding we rushed to get our dresses on. I wore a skin tight black dress with silver heels, my hair was curled, silver eyeshadow and red lipstick to top it off. Ashley looked stunning. She was wearing a more loosely fitting dress with the same silver heels. I took my time doing her hair. I took a section of it and put it in a bun. I curled the last 1/3 of her hair and braided it, then I wound it around the base of her bun. I was sure to leave a small curl hanging by her lightly blushed cheeks. Her eyeshadow was a beautiful crystal blue, to match her eyes. Her lips were a light pink with a hint of gloss. Her opal necklace hung from her neck, as it always has, and her pink ice promise  ring was on her left ring finger, as it has been since 6th grade. She looked gorgeous.

"Are you ready Ash? We don't want to keep the boys waiting!" I said excitedly.

I've been on plenty of dates with Cameron. I don't know why I was so excited for this one in particular. It felt as if something life changing would happen tonight. I was beyond thrilled!

Ashley and I walked down stairs, careful not to fall because of our heels. Her mom turned around on the couch and looked at us.

"You girls look stunning! Have a fun night! Oh, and Ashley. Be back before 11:00 please. Sarah, you're welcome to stay over tonight if you'd like."

"Thank you Mrs.Watson!" I said.

Ashley's mom, Dawn, has always seemed like a second mom to me. My parents don't exactly like me. So whenever I'm upset I'm at Ashley's house. Sometimes I'm there for a few days. But her mom insists on me staying over sometimes.

With that, we headed out the door. I grabbed my black Chanel handbag and she grabbed her royal blue matching handbag. We got into my navy blue Lexus and started the 10 minute drive to Applebees.
