The boy introduced himself as Percy Jackson, and the girl Annabeth Chase.

"So, who are you?" Percy asked.

"My name is Athen McSmith." I told him.

"Wait, your name is Athen?" Annabeth asked.

"Yah, my mom named me that. I never knew her though." I replied.

"Athen," Annabeth said, "Your mom is an Olympian goddess."

Whoa, whoa, whoa! Back up a moment! Did she just say my mom is a goddess?!

"Umm, what?" I barely got out.

"I know it's hard to believe," Percy told me, " but everyone here is a child of a Greek god or goddess. I'm the son of Poseidon-"

"God of the sea." I cut in. "I know. I read Greek mythology a lot. Who are you the daughter of Annabeth?"

"Athena." She said. "And Percy, it's your turn to tell the new kid about the gods."

"Ok." Percy sighed. "Come on Athen. We have a lot to talk about."
