Chapter 7: Flashback

Adrien POV

As usual, I was daydreaming about y/n. I decided to change things up. Instead of thinking about our future together, I remembered things that happened when she first got to the school.

I remember when the teacher told us we were going to have a new student. I was curious, and as soon as I saw her I got even more curious. She was so cute. She had a cat t-shirt, and some f/c leggings on. I noticed her cat ears and tails, and wondered how that was possible. Then again, I thought it made her cute. I kinda have a thing for cats.

"Class, this is y/n l/n. She is a Neko. Even though she may look a bit different, I expect her to be treated with the same respect you treat each other with." That's how the teacher introduced her. I'm just realizing how badly worded that was. 'Same respect as you give others.' That's basically allowing Chloe to be mean to her, since she's mean to everyone. And she started being mean right after too.

"Ewwwww. She's a freak. How could you let her enter the same building as me." Y/n looked down, as everyone glared at Chloe for being mean to the new kid. 

"Y/n you can go sit with Nathaniel. Nathaniel wave so y/n can see you." I'm just realizing how much that little piece of speech has messed up my life. If by any other circumstance she asked y/n to sit with me, we would have been best friends. Heck, we could have been dating since a month ago. Y/n went to sit at the back with who was soon going to be her best friend.

I couldn't keep my eyes off her. She was just so interesting. I wanted to ask her so many questions about.... Well, her. It wasn't long before I realized she was shy. A day had passed and I hadn't heard her speak. Her and Nathaniel were basically joined at the hip. They never left each other's side. I couldn't help but imagine what her voice sounded like. There were a lot of things that I wanted to know about her, that I probably wouldn't unless I took matters into my own hands.

I decided to spy on her. Just a little bit. I don't regret this decision. Spying turned into stalking. Stalking turned into meeting her. Meeting her turned into being friends. Being friends will turn into dating. Dating will turn into marriage. And you know the drill from there. I mean, initially, I didn't mean to stalk her. I just wanted to get close enough for me to hear what she was talking about with Nathaniel all the time. I mean he was the only person she talked too. I just couldn't wait to hear her voice.

I noticed at lunch time they would disappear together. I felt something weird, whenever, I knew they were together, but couldn't see them. When I think about it now, I think it could've been jealousy. I later found out that they ate outside, because they didn't like all the commotion and crowds in the cafeteria. I heard them telling each other some of their favourite things, Nath even managed to make her laugh a couple times. Her laugh was heavenly. 'Woah,' I thought, 'Why am I thinker about her like that. I was just a laugh. A really cute laugh. A laugh as cute as her. Stop thinking about that. I love Ladybug.' Although as much as I didn't want to admit it then, I had fallen head over heels for her. After 2 weeks, it was, 'Ladybug who? I love y/n!' 

I ended spending all the free time I had stalking her, and gathering up as much information about her as I could. If you're wondering how my friends don't notice me not being around as much, let's just say I had a lot of 'model business' to attend to. I bet your also wondering, if I love her so much, why don't you just talk to her? I mean I tried. It's not easy to get to talk to her in class when we sit on opposite sides of the class. Almost every other place I see her, it would be suspicious if I popped up because it would make it obvious that I followed her. I just don't get the opportunity to. And she's shy. If I tried to talk to her, she would try to end the conversation as soon as possible, and it would awkward.

To be honest, I wanted our first meeting to be kinda romantic. Something that would make her falll in love with me at first sight. Something like, she's going to fall, and I catch her. Or saving her from and Akuma. I'm was never that lucky, until she ran into me. I still had a chance to be her knight, even if it was for a short time. That moment is something that I would never want to change, I couldn't have asked for a better way for is to meet, and talk for the first time. Compared to all the ways we could have met, I think this way is the only way that could have jump started our relationship the way it did. We had a 'date' a few hours later. What more could I ask for?

I mean since Chloe existed, she wasn't happy all the time. Y/n did a good job of avoiding Chloe, but when she couldn't Chloe was sure to remind her that she didn't belong at the school. She had Nathaniel so she was generally fine. I just regret never standing up for her. When Chloe called her a freak I should have said, 'she's way cute than you could ever try to be, what does that make you? A troll?' I mean maybe I'd change it a bit. Saying she's that cute would hint that I had a crush on her. I couldn't imagine how Chloe would treat her if she found out I was crushing on her. 

Nino brought me out of my thought when he said, "Class is over." I looked around and noticed everyone was leaving. "Your going to fail, if you don't pay attention in class."

"I know, I just can't stop thinking about her." The sooner we start dating, the better. Maybe then, she won't distract me as much.

Here's a fun fact: when I was still planing out this book, I thought about making a few chapters where y/n is going through heat. Y'know because she's part cat. I ditched the idea because I would have to do reasearch on heat, and think about how it would affect her relation ship with Chat, Nathaniel, and Chloe. Because I heard cats can get a bit more aggressive during heat soooooo. Things would change. Yeah I put a lot of thought into this book. Anyways for now, not happening. I have a lot of cool chapter ideas, Like a birthday sleepover for y/n, with everyone, and Marinette thinking Adrien has a crush on y/n and decided to do something about it. I'm just need to establish an order for all this to happen.
