Chapter 8: The Dream

Adrien POV

I was on patrol tonight and I happened to pass by y/n's house. I just couldn't resist, so I perched myself on a nearby roof. I brought out my baton, and used the super zoom function on its camera. I could clearly see inside of y/n's room, and she wouldn't even know. Not trying to be creepy. I just have a little FOMO (fear of missing out), when it comes to y/n. I instantly recognized a red haired figure. I sighed. She was having a sleep over with Nathaniel. When I looked a little more carefully, I felt my blood boiling. They were sitting on the couch in her room, probably watching a movie, but y/n was leaning on him, and he wasn't wearing a shirt. He. Wasn't. Wearing. A. Shirt. I knew they were close, but this is much closer than I would like. Maybe I should interfere.....

I landed on y/n's balcony. I knocked on the glass door, and y/n let me in. I noticed that Nath was now wearing a shirt. He also seemed very excited for some reason. He took out his phone.

"Cat Noir! You're here! this is great! I need you to answer this question truthfully. What do you think of y/n?" Wait. What? Um okay. This is weird.

"She's, um, pretty cool. She's kinda cute." I mumbled that last part in hoped he wouldn't hear it, but black cats aren't that lucky.

"Mmmmmhmm. So you think y/n is cool and cute. Interesting." Okay, time to bail.

"Oh I have to go. I think Ladybug is calling me. Bye." And with that, I jumped out the window. Nath seemed pretty interested about what I thought about y/n. Strange. I checked the time. It was getting late. I should be getting home. I took out a sticky note I had handy. I quickly scribbled a note on it, and stuck it to y/n's window. I knocked on the window to get her attention. Then I jumped away, before she came out.

Time Skip

This is it. Today is the day. I'm going to tell y/n how I feel. What could possibly go wrong. I quickly went through my morning routine, feeling super pumped. When I got to school, I couldn't help, but smile. This could end up being the best or worst day of my life.

I thought back to when I confessed to Ladybug. Ladybug friend zoning me was fine, but the thought of y/n friend zoning me because she likes someone else, makes me feel sick to my stomach. I shook these thoughts out of my head. I looked around and saw y/n alone. Perfect. I walked up to her.

"Hey, could you come with me. I want to tell you something." She nodded and followed me to the side of the school. I gripped both her hands. She looked up at me confused. I wasn't a face I saw often and I thought it looked so cute.

"Adrien, are you okay? Is something wrong?"

"Honestly, I'm not ok. I extremly lovesick. And you're the only cure."

"Huh. What does that mean?" I took a deep breath. This was it.

"Y/n, I love you so so so so so so much. The thought of you ending up with someone else eats me up inside. I love every thing about you. They fact you're a Neko, you're adorable laugh, heck, I even love how competitive you are while playing video games. I love you so much, sometimes your the only thing I can think about. And it's so painful, to love you this much, but you're still not mine. Please, end my suffering. Say you'll be my girlfriend." Whew. I've been planning that speech for a while. She smiled at me.

"Adrien I love you too." I was honestly shocked. For some reason I thought she was going to reject me.

"But what about Nathaniel. You guys seem close."

"He's just a friend Adrien. My best friend. You're the one for me. We're soulmates. We were meant to be together. Of course I'll be your girlfriend." There were fireworks going of inside my brain. The words I've been longing to hear for so long just escaped her mouth, and I can't even process it right know. I couldn't wait any longer. I pulled her closer to me and passionately kissed her. When I felt her kiss back, I was ecstatic. We kissed for a good minute before breaking apart for oxygen.

"Woah. That was awesome," I commented. I couldn't help it.

"Yeah. Let's do it again." Before I could react, y/n pulled me by my collar, and our lips collided. I enjoyed this so much. She was such a good kisser. I'm already addicted. I can't help but want more of her kisses. We broke apart again, but this time it was obvious we were thinking the same thing. More. We both wanted more. Of each other. We leaned in to kiss again, but we were cut off by the bell. Actually the bell sounded strange. It a beeping sound. It kind of reminded me of an alarm clock?

"Adrien, wake up!" I groggily opened my eyes. I thought about what just happened. My eyes windened in horror. I couldn't have been a dream. No. Nooo.

"Noooooooooooo!" I accidentally yelled. Plagg looked at me like a I was crazy. Suddenly he put his hands, paws, idk, on his hips.

"Let me guess. You were dreaming about y/n."

"Yeah," I admitted. "How did you know?"

Well first of all, you were mumbling her name. Second of all you were making out with your pillow." I looked down, and noticed I was cuddling my pillow. I can't believe I was kissing a pillow this whole time.

"It was awesome. Y/n said she loved me, and she became my girlfriend, and we kissed."

"Yeah, well you have to go to school, so prepare yourself for the reality that is you ogling over y/n, and she doesn't spare you a second glance, because your nothing more than I friend to her." The realization settled in.

"Nooooo! Send me back! I want to kiss her again!" I pulled the blanket over my head, buried my face into the pillow, and squeezed my eyes shut. I want, no need, to go back into that dreamland. I want to kiss her again. I want to marry her.

Time Skip

I eventually found myself at school. After about five minutes of trying, I realized I want going to be able to fall back asleep. Whatever. At least y/n knows I exist. And we're friends. It better than nothing.

A/n: This chapter was going to be about something different, but the dream needed up taking to many words. I guess you'll just have to wait until the next chapter.

I feel like I'm paying more attention to this than my other book. This book might end up having more chapter than my other one.

Also, question. Should I just keep on writing these random fluff chapters, or should I give this story some plot. I mean, I have some ideas, on some plot twist, and Adrien's and y/n's Relationship developing. I mean, the original idea I had of them getting together is pretty dark. It involved slavery and abuse. It still might happen. Just, it'll take many more chapters. Y/n also has this very sad backstory, that I'm looking to incorporate in. I also have this birthday chapter, and a very special project that the students work on. I need to sort this all out though.
