George's PoV

"I'm not right for you, y/n" I say, vulnerability filling my voice, bringing me almost to tears. "I'm reckless. I do stuff I shouldn't. I'm constantly on tour and I'm never home. You need someone that's a constant in your life. Someone to always be there. Don't fall in love with me and hurt because we won't work."

"Only I decide what's right for me." She replies, pulling my shirt collar closer to her until our noses are inches apart. My instinct is to kiss her, right then and there, but in the morning I would have to leave. Leave this house and in it, a broken heart.

She brushes her soft lips against mine. It's unlike any other kiss I've ever had. There's no lust or want. Just genuine love and adoration. I respond softly. She pulls away and rests her head in my shoulder as she sits in front of me.

"I'm sorry-"

"You did nothing. You can't help the situation. We're meant to be together right now. Who cares about the future."

"I do. I can't fall hard now and ignore it in a few years."

"Then that's ok. We'll be together as long as we love each other. George?"

"Hmm?" She pulls away from me and grabs the guitar from over the arm of the chair, taking the pick from its nestled position in the strings and hands it to me.

"I could fall, or I could fly
Here in your aeroplane
And I could live, I could die
Hanging on the words you say" she sings, her voice as beautiful as always and prompts me to join in.

"And I've been known to give my all
Sitting back, looking at
Every mess that I made"

She looks her gaze with mine as we join in the chorus. We lose ourselves in the words and the words quieten as we sing more

"So don't call me baby
Unless you mean it
Don't tell me you need me
If you don't believe it
Let me know the truth
Before I dive right into you"

She locks my lips with hers again over the guitar and suddenly nothing matters except us. It doesn't matter that I'm leaving for tour tomorrow.

Only we matter
