Romeo Conbolt...

He truly is an enigma to the people of Magnolia. Born the middle child of Macao and Enno, the boy showed no signs whatsoever of being capable of using magic despite both of his parents coming from a strong magical family background as well as both his older and younger sister possess the ability to cast spells. In fact, he inherited the opposite effect of being able to negate one's magic ability and destroy magical items with a simple touch.

But nevertheless, Macao and Enno love him all the same, as much as Juliet and Rosalina and to those who knew them best, even more. For they soon realize that life wasn't going to be easy for their son, especially in a magical country like Fiore and with the Rune Knights breathing down their necks wanting to harvest the boy's special ability for themselves.

But alas, that is a story for another day for this tale focus more on the boy's....other ability. The one that everyone, including his own family, thinks he is making up.

Both of his parents didn't mind when Romeo told them that he could talk to animals; he was a little kid and little kids were meant to have wild imaginations. They knew eventually that he would grow out of it.

So at first neither Macao nor Enno thought nothing of it when they spotted their son talking to their next door neighbor dog and every time he asks it a question he got a bark in return, they thought it was mere coincidence.

They pause for a moment when Romeo brought out some leftovers steak from the night before, laid it out in a bowl and screamed at the top of his lungs, "COME AND GET IT!". Not even half a minute later, a horde of cats came jumping over the fence and blanketed their backyard in a sea fur and claws. It took pet control three hours to clear them out.

They pause even longer before screaming their heads off when their only son came walking through the door one day with at least two dozen snakes that he found in the forest slithering all around his body, half of which they later found out were extremely venomous. After getting him away from the snakes (a task that required Guild Master Makarov and Mira) and rushing Romeo to the hospital, doctors later explain to them that there wasn't a single bite mark on the boy to be found, not even a bruise from where the snakes coil around him.

Romeo's affinity with animals became known to a few of the Fairy Tail members when Natsu and Happy, on their way back from a job, spotted him by a small lake surrounded on all sides by an entire wolf pack. The Fire-Dragon Slayer was easily able to frighten them away but afterward was scorched by the young boy for "scaring his friends away". When Natsu relayed this information to the rest of the guild, everyone concluded that he has been hitting the drinks a little too hard lately and should probably go sober for a while. That is except for Makarov, Macao, Enno, and Mira, who all witness the snake incident and were being to think something was going on with the young boy.

Porlyusica first encounter with Romeo's ability was when she spotted him traveling around through the forest near her home...

Of a fully-grown grizzly bear along with her cubs while being followed by a pack of wolves.

That night Porlyusica made her way to the guild and drunk herself into a stupor for she thought her old age was started to get to her. A silent pact was forge between every member who witness this and they all collective agree to never mention this incident again, even Natsu and Happy kept their mouths shut.

The next day after recovering from a massive hangover, Porlyusica question the boy when she found him once again near her home and since then her life had never been the same.

Fast forward ahead and you will come to the time period where it finally dawns on Mr. and Mrs. Conbolt that maybe, just maybe, their son had a unique skill.

The entire family minus Romeo was in the kitchen with Macao reading the paper while Enno and the girls were busy cooking lunch when they heard something large land in their backyard. When Macao went out to investigate with Enno and his daughters behind him, they were greeted with the sight of Romeo and Porlyusica sitting atop of an ash-colored young dragon who threw the family a look of indifference as Romeo jump off of him and ran up to his father, grabbing his hand.

"Daddy! Daddy! This is Fonaar and he's my best friend! Can I keep him? Please! Please!", as he shook the hand and pointed back at the dragon.

Macao and Enno slowly turn their heads to Porlyusica who merely shrugged back at them.

"Not going to lie to you", she started, "Saying no would be the worst mistake you could make right now. Fonaar is quite attached to your son."

Juliet and Rosalina quickly step out of the way as both of their parents fell backward onto the floor behind them, too overwhelmed by everything that just happened.
