Lily walked to her tent like she normally would. She would normally avoid all and any contact with people ever since she was little due to her family having "issues". Fights occurred in her family so often she almost never left her room. She was mentally eighteen while she was physically sixteen. The wind softly blew her hair back as she walked, she was deep in thought as she ran into someone, and of course it was Joker. Lily fell to the ground and laid there as she thought.
*Ug. Why him? He's just annoying!*
Lily was picked up and she instantly screamed and flailed around. She had never liked to be picked up since whenever she was picked up when she was young she was abused. She would always wear long sleeve outfits. She flailed around so much she was eventually dropped. Whoever had picked her up reminded her of her family which scared her mother. Once Lily had hit the ground she stood up and started running. She reached her tent and hide behind one of the poles holding it up. She was just starting to catch her breath when she felt someone's firm hand on her shoulder. She quickly turned around and fell to the ground. She backed up against the tent wall and gripped her hair. As she was having her mental breakdown she felt two hands on top of her's. She looked up and saw Joker, she nearly without thinking hugged him. He hugged her back and softly kissed her head as he said.
"It's okay Lily, it's okay. I won't hurt you I promise".
Lily hugged him tighter as she said.
"I-I'm sorry. I'm really sorry"!
Joker softly smiled as he said.
"There, there. It's okay Lily".
Lily nodded her head slightly and slowly started to calm down. When her breathing and heartbeat were back to normal she looked up at Joker and softly said.
"I'm really sorry".
Joker just patted her head as he said.
"No need to be sorry lass. You were having a mental breakdown and I only made it worse which is why I should be the one apologizing. So I'm very sorry Lily".
Lily smiled up at him and spoke.
"No need to be sorry. You didn't know what would cause me to freak out".
Lily warmly smiled. Was she actually letting her walls down to bring someone in? Damn right she was. She held him tighter and laid her head on his chest. She began to slowly fall asleep which slightly surprised her. Why? Simple she normally doesn't fall asleep with other people around or at all really. She does sleep but it isn't sleep sleep. After a while she was fast asleep. Joker carefully moved her so she would be more comfortable and then eventually fell asleep as well. When Beast, Dagger, Doll, Peter, and Wendy found them they all found it adorable and Dagger covered them up with a blanket and then they all left. Lily woke up once and then fell back to sleep with her head on Joker's chest. Did she love him? Damn right she did. Would she ever admit it? Hell. No.
