I've been here for 2 days now and literally I've never been so tired in my life! I've not had a call or text from mum and I haven't seen any sign of Erin and Amy I am now starting to get concerned. I walked out side to the lake and got a paddle and canoe and decided to go out on the water while everyone else was at the swimming pool playing water polo, I don't really enjoy that game so I decided to do something a bit more quiet and peaceful. I dragged the canoe down to the small beach by a pontoon and placed it on the water, I sat in it and the canoe rocked a little bit, I started to panic. I finally got comfortable in my canoe until I saw erin and Amy come running past the me with a group of girls.
"Erin, Amy" I shouted and they looked at me and waved, then skipped along the path. I was ready to go until I felt a pair of cold hands on my shoulders.
"BOO" the person shouted behind me and I jumped, I turned behind me and stood there was calum.
"Where you going" he asked
"Going for a canoe on the lake" I replied.
"Mind if I join you?" he asked me, I nodded and he got a canoe and we both paddled into the middle of the lake.
After paddling for a while we found a small lake beach surrounded by trees, we paddled to shore and put our canoes to the side and sat on the beach and looked out at the lake.
"So tell me more about yourself" he asked.
"Well I live in New York with my mum and two half sister and a step dad who thinks he can be a proper dad to me and fails"
"Yeah well at least he try's to be a dad not like mine"
"Why isn't your dad a good dad"
"He's never home, but I'm really busy any way playing basketball"
"Really, my dad used to play basketball and taught my mum"
"Wow, did he teach you?"
"No, he died 13 years ago"
"Oh, so did my mum but, I don't like to talk about it"
"Neither do i!"
"Well so have you got a boyfriend?"
"No, we broke up 3 months ago, he cheated on me"
"What the hell, he cheated on beautiful girl like you"
"Yeah I guess"
We talked for ages, he kept complimenting me.
We then decided to head back, I stood up then calum stood up and our faces were only centre metres apart, he put his face close to mine and attached his lips to mine and went into a deep kiss. I stopped the kiss and said
"What are you doing, we hardly know each other"
"So, don't you get it I've been leading you own the hole time" he replied and we continued to kiss, I didn't stop this time. We stopped and got back in our canoes and said nothing to each other the way back, when we got back we put the canoes back and went our separate ways. I got back to the hut and saw Carla sat on her bed reading a book.
"Hi" I screeched
She ignored me.
I sat down on my bed and sighed, I've just hooked up with a guy I've known for two days. I kept thinking about the kiss, I mean it was so awkward because we said nothing to each other the hole way back to camp. 'do I like him' I kept asking myself in my head.
"I'm going to get a cold drink, be back in a minute" Carla stropped off out of the hut, seriously can things get anymore stressful and awkward?
About an hour of relaxing on my bed it was time for dinner, I walked out of the hut and saw the girl I bumped into in the showers.
"Hi" she said
"Hi, you walking to dinner" I asked
"Yeah, what's your name" she asked
"I'm Anna, you must be Chloe, right?" I questioned.
"Yeah" she answered, she seemed like a nice person.
We found a table and sat opposite each other, Calum strutted past me smiling.
"Something tells me you have something going on with that hot guy over there?" Chloe asked
"No" I lied, Chloe raised her eyebrow.
"Okay I do" I answered
"Spill" she said,i told everything, I know I've only met this girl but she seemed nice and trustworthy.
After dinner I started to walk back to my hut with Chloe until calum pounced on me.
"Hi" he said grinding his teeth
"Hi" I replied
"Do you wanna go for a walk" he asked, I nodded. He grabbed my arm and pulled me away from the path. We walked into a forest faraway from the lake and went and sat against a tree, he put his arm round me and started moving his hand down my arm.
"I shouldn't be here" I stuttered and got up.
"Anna what is your problem, why do you keep pushing me away?!" he asked looking angry.
"I've known for what, two days and your trying to get with me?" I said with anger.
"We've known each other more than two days believe me!" he told me.
"What do you mean?" I was confused, I walked closer to him.
"When,when we were 11 i asked you to the end of year 6 prom dance, I asked on a post it note, we went together and you said you loved me" he explained and then it suddenly came to me, I remembered i went to kindergarten with him.
"Then in year ten you stood me up for Alex Parker, you told me that you liked me in more than a friend way but then you still went of with him" he explained and then I remembered that time in year ten. I looked at him and he looked like he was going to cry so I leaned in slowly and kissed him passionately, I can't believe I forgot about him.
We stopped and I smiled.
He took my hand and started to shake.
"Why are you shaking?" I asked
"Because I'm with you" he replied.
I kept pinching myself because I thought it was a dream but it wasn't.
We walked back to the camp.
"It's late maybe you should get some sleep" Calum said and then kissing me softly on the lips. I walked up the steps leading to my hut.
I took my shoes off and lied on my bed,i laughed at thought of forgetting about someone that I was in love with 2 years ago, I guess I've had a lot going on lately I haven't had time to think about boys, even tho I had a boyfriend for six months but I wasn't really in to it that much, it might sound bad but I didn't really have anything In common with him, that's probably why he cheated on me.
