Robert heard some rather familiar noises when he turned his head to look towards the waiter. The humble host was coming at a hurried pace.
"Sir, we have a problem. It seems you have gathered quite the attention."
Robert looked to you, "Did you...mention, anything?"
You looked at him honestly, "No. Never. I told you I understand your privacy."
"We gotta go." He stood up and grabbed your hand. You blushed a moment realizing you didn't have time to have a fangirling moment. This was like the movies! On the run. Dating a celebrity. It was so...Hollywood, was all you could think of.
He shoved something towards the waiter and the host. You and him went back out towards the way you came. The manager was coming your way.
"Out the kitchen?" He asked.
"If you don't mind?" You noticed Robert slipped money towards the manager.
"Bob, really. You don't.."
"Thank you for your time and the help. Dont worry about it."
Robert looked at you as he hurried you both out of the kitchen. Passing chefs, line cooks, and a few waiters.
You noticed his casual smile as he saw onlookers staring. The manager yelling to them to keep their eyes on their work and their mouths shut.
There was a car waiting for you both out of the kitchen door in an alleyway. It was a nice towncar. Something you'd see someone drive in that wasn't a limo. He opened the door for you then climbed in after you.
He sighed and fumbled with his hands. "Sorry about that." He did a shy smile.
You nervously tucked your hair behind your ear. "Hey. No worries. It happens, right?"
"You like ice cream?" Robert asked.
"Uh, yeah." You weren't sure how to answer.
"I mean if you don't like ice cream then it's fine but I was wondering since you and I didn't get to finish dessert..." He rambled
"I like ice cream. You want to hit up a Dairy Queen?"
He looked shocked. It was as if he was surprised by your confidence.
"M&M Blizzard?" He suggested.
"What?! Pfft." You scoffed. "It's all about the Oreo Mint Blizzard dude."
He smiled, "Oh really? Alright then"
