Legolas' pov

The night seemed to take longer than normal as i watched Tamaril sleep. I couldn't help but wonder if i had made the correct decision. I did in a sense tell her the truth but not the whole truth. i don't want to lose her something in my brain has made me too protective over her. We can never be together, i am a prince she is just an elf, half an elf at that. I told myself trying to kick my feelings out of my head.

The sun slowly came up on the horizon lighting the forrest through the trees. Sun rise and sunset are the most beautiful time of day in my opinion, the first morning light and the orange sky and the sun sets. I heard Aragorn return to camp he had been scouting around the camp and our path during the night.

"The path seems safe if we move now. Get them up Legolas."

"It is still early..."

"If we move now it will not take us long to reach Rohan. There we may rest better and longer." i nodded to him before we started to wake the others i heard him waking the rather unhappy hobbits as they found out we wouldn't be staying for breakfast.

"Let them eat as we travel, we still have lambas bread."

"Very well." he replied as the hobbits ran off to grab some food for the journey.

I felt cold water pour over my head sending shivers through my body making m gasp, i spun fast to see Tamaril hiding her water bottle smirking.

"You look cold prince." she laughed.

"I wonder who caused it." i said walking slowly toward her.

"Maybe an orc" she said taking a step back as i quickened my pace knocking her to the ground.

"I think it was a blonde half-elf!" she screamed laughing

"No! Im innocent!"

I collapsed on top if her. "I don't think so." i growled into her ear before pushing myself off her leaving her to pull herself up off the ground. "Don't try that again Tamaril."

Tamaril's pov

We rode long into the night Aragorn wanted to push for Rohan over the next few days so we could rest in peace, i don't understand his big worry nothing serious has happened since Mirkwood. Sure a rebel or two and a few spiders as we were leaving but nothing any of us couldn't handle. Part of me wondered if he just wanted to see his fellow men again after been with elves, dwarfs, wizards and hobbits for the past few weeks. Legolas and I barely spoke today after this morning, he scared me a little i was only joking with him but he was so angry about it.

Since we left Mirkwood i have wanted to go back to speak to King Thranduil, he claims to know my parents well maybe he knows why they abandoned me and left me for dead.

"What are you thinking about?" spoke the all too familiar voice of Gandalf. shaking myself from my daze i remembered he had been riding next to me for the journey.

"Not much really, i just never cared to know my parents but king Thranduil claims to know them. It just makes me want to know why."

"Your father had his reasons child."

"And my mother?"

"The reason." he sighed turning his eyes back to the road.

"What do you mean the reason?!"

"She was the human, you will find out soon enough but now is not the time."

"Why cant i know now?" he placed his hand on my shoulder looking into my eyes.

"When you learn the truth you will understand. Just know this, your father had his reasons."

I sighed turning my head away from him looking down and playing with Sprite's mane. No more words were spoken to us throughout the rest of the journey until sunrise when we stopped to rest the horses and to gather more water.

It was very different to the forrest or anywhere i had been before. All flat land and a river, which we stopped next to. The grass wasn't very green though more of a yellow colour as though it doesn't rain much here. As soon as we stopped the hobbits Merry and Pippin started asking for food. Typical hobbits. I ate an apple as we waited for everyone to be ready, no one spoke i think we were all tired and bored of each other by now it had been a long time with tensions high.

We rode for another two days before we could see Rohan ahead of us. It was quite possibly the best sight I had seen in a long time.

AN So guys :D what do we think? Poor Leggy is in a pretty terrible mood don't you think?? And what about Tamaril's parents! :o don't forget to leave a vote or comment if you liked it or have and advice :) sorry for spelling or grammar mistakes I'm again writing on my phone xx love you guys! <3
