"Yue, I'm here. Are you ready to go?" Yang-Jie shouted as she entered Shen Yue's apartment. They agreed to go grocery shopping today.

No answer.

"That sleepyhead must still be snoozing," she thought.

She knocked before turning the knob. "Yue?"

Shen Yue's not in her room either. Yang-Jie was about to go down when she heard someone sniffling.

She followed the sound of the sniffles and she found Yue slumped on the floor like a child behind the stack of boxes that she has yet to dispose of.

"Jie!" Yue wailed as soon as she saw her manager, whom she also considers as her friend.

"Hey. What happened?" Her manager immediately hugged Yue, worry evident on her face. "Are you hurt?"

Yue just continued to cry without saying anything.

"Ahhhh, Yue. Hush now." Yang-jie is lightly caressing her back in an attempt to pacify her.

When Yue was calm enough, her manager assisted her to stand up and they went to her room.

"Are you okay now?"

Yue shook her head, fresh tears threatening to spill from her eyes again.

"Tell me what's wrong so I can help you. Are you feeling sick?"

Yue shook her head again. In a broken voice, she said, "Wang He Di already has a girlfriend."

"WHAT? Didi? Since when? How did you know?" Yang-Jie asked Yue.

"I saw it in Weibo. Hunan TV posted a clip of his recent interview and then when he was asked why he doesn't have a girlfriend until now, he laughed and said he's already in a committed relationship but refused to say who the girl is. I was about to call him and ask why he didn't tell me that he already has a girlfriend but then photos of him and Wu LiMei started to pour in. Them in a restaurant looking so sweet. A bts of them being playful while on set. A picture of them standing so close while taking a selfie..."

"I should not have made him wait for me for two years. I should have been brave enough to face my feelings for him. And now it's obviously too late and this is all my fault." Yue said, who's now sobbing again.

Yang-jie can't believe it. She knows for a fact that Dylan loves Yue. He told her so himself one drunken night in Yue's apartment. Yue called her for help as she doesn't know what to do with the intoxicated Dylan, and Hao Ge wasn't answering his phone. Apparently, he declared himself to Yue that night but she had to turn him down because of the restrictions in their career.

Her thoughts were interrupted when Yue spoke again. "He said he will wait for me. He said he loves me jie. But I have made him wait for so long and now he loves somebody else."

Yang-jie doesn't know what to do to comfort Yue. Her heart aches to see Yue so broken. This girl has made a lot of sacrifices not just for herself but for Dylan as well. Bashers go crazy even from a simple weibo interaction between the two of them. And every time Dylan has a new leading lady or seen with basically any girl, negatrons attack like locusts. Dylan will be accused of being a womanizer and Yue's timeline and inbox will be filled with words like 'you're a loser', 'you're so ugly Dylan doesn't want you', and other mean words that are really out to hurt Yue.

Yang-Jie couldn't understand where all the hate is coming from. It's not like the two of them is seen hanging out with each other outside of work. And they weren't a couple either. And the last project that they did together was The Inn3 and a historical drama, aside from guesting in different variety shows. There was an offer for a new drama but Yue's agency declined the project as she was constantly being attacked by monopolizing Dylan and she is a hindrance for his growth as an actor. As if it is Yue's fault that there was a clamor for the two of them to be in a project together.
