"Hao Ge can we please keep my injury a secret from Yue at least until after we get back to Beijing? She's currently preparing for a new role and I don't want her to be distracted. You know how she is when I get hurt." Dylan said to his manager as he sat down on the couch of his hotel room. He was just in the hospital and had his ankle checked. Thankfully, it was just a sprain. Nothing serious.

"I'm afraid that's not possible Didi. Your pictures are everywhere. I'm sure Yue have seen it and she's probably livid now with worry and it will not help your case that your phone is turned off." Hao Ge handed him his phone.

"You better think of a way to placate her before you turn on your phone. You got a lot of explaining to do."

"Aish... will you please stop making me nervous? I'm sure she still doesn't know. She would have called you and bugged you nonstop. You haven't received any messages from her right?"

"Surprisingly, nothing. No calls, either. She must really be busy. Anyway, will you be okay if I leave you? I still need to do something. Just order room service and don't stay up too late. We have an early start tomorrow."

"I'll be okay. Thanks, Hao Ge. See you tomorrow."

As soon as his manager left, Dylan turned on his phone. There was not a single message from Yue either. She usually sends him random messages especially when they're far away from each other. Sometimes she sends silly selfies of herself. But most of the time it's a narration of what she was doing, and the things that made her laugh. Or how she was feeling. Or even about her musings about random things. She said it's her way of coping in missing her very own human memo.

Yue was known to write down memos because she said she's forgetful. That may be true but Yue also loved to share how her day had gone with him. She was a chatterbox but only with him. And she tells him things that she can't tell others. And that made him love her more. It made him feel that they're especially connected.

He tried to call her but her phone's still turned off. He decided to just send her a message to call him as soon as she's able to. He just hopes he can tell her first about his injury before she sees any of his pictures.

He ordered room service and played mobile games for a while before he decided to turn in for the night. By now he was feeling a bit irritated and sad. He tried calling Yue but he still cannot reach her and she's not responding to any of his messages. He's not used to sleeping without seeing her face and hearing her melodic voice. But tiredness finally seeped in and soon he fell asleep.

Dylan smiled as he felt a hand stroke his hair and a warm smell of warm mist of mimosa and freshly crushed cardamom invaded his senses. The smell of home. His home.

He opened his eyes and saw Yue looking very beautiful, her face so close on his face, he can see the crinkling of her eyes as her mouth curl up in a smile. Are you a dream, my goddess? Dylan said aloud.

"Yes, I am a goddess who owns you in dreamland and in real life, " he heard her say and then she leaned in to kiss him and then buried her face in the crook of his neck.

As Dylan snaked his arm around Yue's waist and felt her warmth, he determined that he's not dreaming. His girl is here in Sanya!

"So this is why I cannot contact you. You're on your way here to surprise me, my little ninja," Dylan said as he stroke Yue's hair. "Missed me that much?"

He felt a delicious shiver run across his spine as Yue giggled and nodded her head. She planted a quick kiss on the base of his neck and then pulled away to look at him, her brown orbs full of love, mirroring his own.

"I wanted to call you earlier and tell you about my day but I realized I don't want to talk to you from my phone screen. I missed you the past couple of days because you're always too exhausted during the night for us to even have a proper conversation."
