Tola's p.o.v.

Over the next week, it became normal for Natalie to eat lunch with me. I soon discovered that she's a social butterfly, and is accepted by almost every group at school, so this didn't stir up much trouble. But her persistence at getting to know me worried me. But despite my efforts, she was starting to get to know me. My likes, my dislikes. And I was getting to know her in return.

I also discovered that the boy that I threw the dodge ball at on the first day was a complete asshole. He and his group of friends, which included some guys and some sluts, were the school's shit heads. Additionally, they were practically the only people that hated Talie.

Talie? I breifly thought over the nickname before uneasily accepting it. I wouldn't call her Talie when speaking to her in order to refrain from growing even closer to her with a personal nickname, but I would allow myself to call her that in my thoughts where it was safe.

I just wished she would understand that I wasn't looking to make friends. I was only there to graduate, get my diploma, and hopefully get accepted to a college with financial aid. I'm lucky that the state is forcing me to go to school, otherwise I never would have been able to. My mom didn't want me to, because it meant I had a chance of leaving her someday and having a good life.

My mother suddenly barged into my room, smelling like alcohol. It was Saturday night.

“I need some fucking money, kid.” she slurred at me. I rolled my eyes. My mom didn't have a job, she collected unemployment money. Unfortunately, she usually spent a lot of that on alcohol. I was about to point this out, but bit my tongue. I didn't feel like being slapped at the moment.

My mom continued. “Go over to Jimmy's place. I already told him to make room for you tonight.” she ordered before leaving my room, slamming the door behind her.

Jimmy was my mom's friend in college. He also owned a club just two blocks away. We live in the iffy part of town.

When we moved here, she ran into Jimmy, and after talking to him and introducing me, she convinced him to let me to be a go-go dance there whenever we needed some extra money. Which is illegal by the way. I'm 17. I didn't approve of this, it made me feel disgusting, dancing around in practically no clothes for money. But I didn't really have a choice. If I didn't do it, she'd kick my ass then kick me out. Plus I needed the money to keep our shitty apartment up and running.

With a sigh, I threw on a jacket and shoved some stuff in my bag before leaving the crappy apartment building. I walked to the club, the guy at the door nodding me in when he recognized me.

I walked backed stage, and found Jimmy. “Stacy sweety, nice to see you tonight. You're on in 30 minutes.” Stacy Tamzin is my fake name here.

I nodded before walking to a makeup station to get ready. I'm one of the only girls here that dance alone. Jimmy discovered my talent at dancing, and has me go on stage and free-style it any night I come here. Grabbing my hair, I stuffed it into a secure blonde wig. Taking blue contacts out of my bag, I popped them into my eyes. Searching through the make up at the station, I practically painted my face with makeup, highlighting my best features and doing dark and dramatic eye makeup. I stood back and analyzed myself. This was part of the get up; making myself almost unrecognizable.

Grabbing an outfit off the rack, I stuffed myself into the tiny outfit and fluffy boots. Jimmy came over to the station I was at, and looked me up and down with a sick smile. “Let's go” he said, pulling me to the side of the stage. Snatching up a microphone, he got everyone's attention. “Ladies and Gentleman, give it up for Club Storm's sexiest dancer, Stacy!” he announced the crowd. Most of them got excited. I was well known at this club. Plastering on a sexy smirk, I danced onto the stage, and started moving to the song that was playing.
