Neighbour (Ariana/You)

Chapter 3- Hangout

Y/N POV

Ariana walked out of the booth... Before I could speak to Ariana, Scooter spoke up saying "Excellent job Ariana we do the same thing again tomorrow at 2 pm." Scooters phone started to ring, he leaves the room leaving me and Ariana alone. Ariana says "so meet again" I replied "What you did in the booth was amazing, your voice is so beautiful" "Thank so much, it was of the original songs that I wrote." I ask "What's the song called?" Ariana replied with a smile on her face "Honeymoon Avenue. I know I it's not that great but I want to make a good impression on the producers" I stopped Ariana from saying anymore I put my hand on her hand and told her "Stop Ariana, that's like the best song I've ever heard in my entire life" Ariana looked up at me and smiled. As I had my hand on her hand I felt a spark rush through body, I awkwardly pulled my hand away quickly just in case she felt it too. I never felt this way before about anyone. When I let go of her hand I saw in her eyes that she looked disappointed but I think I'm just imaging things.  

Ariana POV

I walked out of the booth to be greeted with Scooter and a familiar face...it was Y/N. I saw she was about to speak to me but Scooter interrupted me. After speaking with Scooter he got a call and left the room. All of a sudden I got really nervous when me and Y/N in the room alone together. We started having a conversation, I told her about how I wasn't sure if the producers were going to like my song. Y/N held my hand, I felt a spark her hand was so soft and it felt nice in my hands, she looked at me and quickly took her hand out of mine and disappointment spread across my face. I wanted to reach back for her hand but I didn't want it to be awkward. I snapped out of my thoughts when Y/N asked me a question. 

Y/N POV

"Hey Ariana, are you busy tonight? I would love to hang out with you" Ariana replied with "I'm not doing anything at all I was probably going to go home and watch catfish anyways, so yes that would be great, what did you have in mind?" "Oh my God I love that show" I said. Ariana said "That's amazing well you can come over to my apartment so we can watch it together" I smiled and said "Okay that sounds good."

Time Skip

Y/N POV

Ariana has no idea we are neighbors so when we pulled up to the apartment building and got out of the car I started silently laughing to myself, Ariana spoke "What's so funny?" I replied you'll see when we get there" Ariana looked at me confused "uh okay." We headed to the elevator up to the 7th floor. Once we made it to room 13, Ariana unlocked the door to her room. When I walked into her room I saw her keyboard and papers scattered all over the floor, Ariana said "I am so sorry it's so messy I've been up all night writing a new song" I told Ariana "I understand it's fine what have you gotten written down so far?" Ariana said "Here come sit I'll sing it to you" Ariana starts to sing...

I could write a song on my new piano
I could sing about how love is a losing battle,
Not hard, (it's not hard)

"That's all I have so far" She said. "Oh my God Ariana you are a musical genius" I told her. "You think so?" "of course" I said. "Thank you that really means a lot to me." Ariana says. 

Ariana's POV

After I finished singing my song to Y/N I asked her if she wanted any snacks. "I'll be back I'm going to the kitchen to get us some snacks, do you want anything to eat?" I asked standing up from the couch. I heard Y/N mumble under her breath "yeah you." I answered "What did you say?" clearly hearing what she just mumbled. Y/N replied with "Oh nothing, just chips." I giggled hearing her reply "yeah you" I walked into the kitchen to get some chips. I looked through all the cupboards and couldn't find any chips. I walked back into the living room and said "I'm sorry I don't have any chips" I frowned. "That's okay I can just get some from next door" Y/N said with a smirk on her face. "What do you mean next door? How are you going to get it you can't break into someone's apartment" I asked with a confused look on my face. "I can if I own it" she said with a smirk still spread across her face. "OH MY GOD WE ARE NEIGHBORS?!" I yelled. "Yeah the first day I moved I heard an angelic girl singing then when I heard you in the booth singing I realized it then that you were my neighbor" I replied, "Why didnt you tell me when you found out?" I said. "You never asked" She replied."Ill be back I'm going to get the chips" Y/N said. With that she left. 

I quickly pulled out my phone to call my best friend Courtney.  

Phone Call

Courtney- H- 

Me- COURTNEY YOU WON'T BELIEVE WHAT HAPPENED 

Courtney- What did you get another puppy? 

Me- NO EVEN BETTER THAN A PUPPY I THINK I FOUND MY FUTURE WIFE 

Courtney- You literally just moved there how did you find someone so fast, but I can't even find no one

Me- COURTNEY ENOUGH PLAYING IM BEING SERIOUS, I met this cute girl at the studio she works for scooter she's his assistant. AND WHEN I TOLD HER ABOUT HOW I DIDNT THINK MY SONG WAS ANY GOOD SHE TOUCHED MY HAND AND I ALMOST PASSED OUT 

Courtney- OH MY GOD WHAT WHY DIDNT YOU TEXT ME THE SECOND THIS HAPPENED 

Me- THATS EVEN THE BEST PART YOU DIDNT LET ME FINISH SHE AGREED TO COME WATCH CATFISH WITH ME AT MY APARTMENT COURTNEY MY APARTMENT 

Courtney- ARIANA I hope yall fuck 

Me- COURTNEY 

Me- BUT WHEN SHE TOUCHED MY HAND I NEVER FELT THAT SPARK BEFORE even in my past relationships like no one has ever made me feel that way before. I know it's crazy because we just met but there's something about her that's so special WHAT DO I DO

 Courtney- Okay breathe girl, if you feel that way you should follow your heart and take it slow with her be her friend first and see where it will go from there 

Me- Thanks Courtney, I never knew you were so good at giving relationship since you were never in one before

 Courtney- Fuck off 

*hangs up*

Y/N finally walks in and says "Hey Ari, I'm back" my heart fluttered when she called me that nickname. "Ari?" I said "Oh you don't like that nickname, I won't call you that if you don't like it." I replied with smile on my face "No I love it it's a cute nickname so cute that I could eat it up"  I winked at her. I saw Y/N's face go as red as a tomato. 

Y/N POV

OH SHIT! she heard me earlier when I said "Yeah you" I got embarrassed and felt my face heat up and get all red after she replied with that and winked at me. I walked over to the couch, while Ariana got blankets. Ariana sat down close to me, we then turned on catfish. In the middle of the show, I saw Ariana getting sleepy and she closed her eyes and leaned her head on my shoulder. I melted on the inside because her head was on my shoulder. I heard her tiny little snores and I wrapped my arms around her waist, I felt myself getting sleepy too, I held her for the rest of the night.
