Wedding day part 1

Rolling over and seeing mess of blonde curls instead of the usual black ones had Alexandra a little disoriented until she realized she was at Carlotta's with the girls because today was the day. She was going to marry the man of her dreams. Smacking Star on the ass to wake the blonde girl up it was time to get this day started she couldn't wait to marry Derek and become a Jones . Sending Derek a quick good morning text She got in the shower.Walking out of the bathroom after her shower she saw that Star was up and gettin her stuff together for her shower. Dressed in her silk satin robe Alex smacked star on butt as the passed each other. " Me and Mrs. Jones got a thing going on," sang star as she shot her best friend a flirtatious wink before closing the bathroom door.

Heading down the stairs she saw that Simone was already in a chair getting her makeup and hair started. Plopping her self into Miss Bruce's chair she smiles dreamily as she feels the excitement bubbling up. Simone looking over at the darker girl smirks and says " so glad you and Dad are finally gettin married .... I won't be a bastard anymore!"

Not even entertaining Simone's smart ass comment Alex let's miss Bruce and the make up artist slay her to the gods. When their work was finished and the veil was pinned into her simple but elegant up do alex and her girls went up stairs to get into their dresses. Once the Davis sisters were dresse they helped their friend step into her gown.

Alex stares at herself in the mirror as star zipped up the dress. A single tear rolled down her cheek meeting the concerned blue green eyes of her best friend Alex laughs and mouths happy tear I promise. The blonde starlet just her older sister a hug and whispers " Alex,you and Derek are definition of true love. Y'all have belonged to each other the moment y'all locked eyes"

Simone standing up from fixing bottom of her dress smiles at her sisters and yells " let's go get this bitch married!" As the girls walk down the stairs they hear the gasps of delight at Alexandra's stunning dress makes its debut. Carlotta smiles like a proud mother as three surrogate daughters come down the stairs. Alexandra's eyes meet hers and they share a smile. She was determined for this day to go smoothly as possible alex and Derek both deserved this day to be one of the happiest days of their lives.

Derek paces in the room they had set up for him at the four seasons. His groomsmen watch as he goes back and forth. Hearing the door open he sees his grandma ruby walk in. Ruby seeing the slight nervous look on Derek face smiles and replies " she's here I saw her myself she told me to tell you she loves you and can't wait to be a Jones" hearing his grandma's words the nerves melt away.

Grinning like a child on Christmas morning he turns to one of the most important ladies in his life. "Grandma thank you for always being there for me and pushing Alex and me back together twice." Hugging her grandson ruby leaves the room . The wedding coordinator informs him it's time. Walking up the aisle he sees that most of his family was here and accounted for. Alexandra side was full of Carlotta's family and few industry friends. After shaking hands with the minister Derek waits for his bride to make her grand entrance. The wedding party starts to descend down the aisle. The string quartet begins the wedding march as everyone stands and looks to the back of the room. Derek feels tears rolling down his face as wide grin takes over his face. As his real life angel walks towards him with help of Mrs. Carlotta Derek says a quiet prayer of thank you to god for sending him that vision of beauty and love. The couple locks eyes both mouth the words I love you to each other. When Alexandra gets to front of the aisle Carlotta places her hand into Derek's. Alexandra hands Star her bouquet as she reaches up to wipe Derek's tears from his face.

The preacher says it's time for the vows to be exchanged. Derek signals that Alex should go first. With a shaky voice she pours her heart out to her husband, " You are my family, and I want to be there for you in all things, I am so excited to be your wife and share in every moment - not only the good times, but the learning experiences too. I vow to take from every moment the opportunity to love, to nurture, and to grow - and to never forget how lucky I am."

Smiling Derek rubs Alex's hands as he starts to recite his own vows. "From you I've learned how to dream and what it is to have a loving partner who supports your dreams. I vow to help you in your dreams and desires, and to create a life, a family, and a loving home as your husband." Lift the veil from her face after the rings are exchanged Derek waits til the preacher says " Now by the power vested in me by god and state of Georgia I now pronounce you husband and wife you may kiss your bride"

Derek leans down and plants a passionate kiss on his Wife's lips. Alexandra pulls him closer and gives him more peck before beaming up at him. Turning and facing the applauding guest. The couple makes their way down the aisle hand in hand. They are officially Mr. And Mrs. Derek Jones.
