Then everything went white.
I squinted my eyes, it was so bright, then I felt a hand, clutch mine. I looked to my side. Kane.
"Fight it Baby girl"
"I can't"
"Yes you can"
A figure then appeared in front of us, it was fuzzy at first, but then I saw who it was...
"Daddy,"
"Hello beautiful," I ran and hugged him, "Hello Kane"
"What are you doing here Charlie?"
"I'm here to tell you that it's not your time"
"But it's not your time either Daddy...is it?" I said, he put his hands on my shoulders,
"Everyone's waiting for you. Kane your parents and brothers. Darling, Trent and Joel are waiting"
"But why aren't you waiting?" I asked,
"Because I'm here with you"
"Charlie are you..." Kane started,
"Yes, Yes Kane...I am..."
"No...No Daddy you're not...you're not..." He smiled sadly "I'm not going back if you're not going to be there. I'm going with you..."
"You're not honey, it's not your time. I told you that..."
"But why is it yours then?" I cried,
"Life works in mysterious ways. Kane can I have a word please," he nodded and they walked off,
"Kane promise me that you'll look after my little girl with your life. You make her happy and make sure she gets everything she needs..."
"I promise Charlie, you know I love your daughter more than life and I'll make sure she's always happy. I'll never let her go..." He smiled,
"You're a great man Kane. I'm so happy you're with Lyric"
"Daddy please don't make me wake up. I want to stay with you"
"Lyric Tammara Riley. My beautiful Little girl. I'll love you forever and don't think this is goodbye, whenever your upset or sad, I'll be watching over you and looking over your shoulder trying to make you smile again. I love you so much, make sure you tell all my grandchildren about their amazing granddaddy" I was crying, Kane was crying, Daddy was crying,
"I love you so much Daddy. I will never ever stop loving you, you're the best Daddy in the universe. I'm going to miss you so much," I hugged him tight and he kissed my forehead, once he pulled away he said,
"Now...it's time to wake up, it's time for you to go," I hugged Kane, whose arms firmly held me, "I love you..."
"I love you too Daddy," the whiteness became bright again. I kissed Kane, then we both shut our eyes,
"Wake up"

1 week later...
My eyes adjusted to the light, the blurriness cleared and I found myself looking at a white ceiling, I turned my head, Kane smiled at me,
"I love you" He mouthed,
"I love you too," I mouthed back as a tear rolled down my cheek.
"LYRIC" Joel exclaimed, dashing over to me, he started to cry,
"RICS" Trent said running in, he too had tears down his eyes,
"KANE" Wyatt shouted, sprinting over,
"Darling" Susannah said, crying
"Kane" Frank said,
"Daddy, what happened to Daddy!" I said as tears flowed down my cheeks, causing everyone to cry even more, "He's...he's gone...isn't he..." Joel nodded crying,
"He died last night...it...it was a heart attack...which...which...came over all of a sudden" Trent stuttered,
"How...how'd you know?" I looked over at Kane, who was being cried over and held by his parents, he looked at me,
"We saw Charlie, he told us to wake up" Kane said...
Two doctors and a nurse came in, ushering everyone away from us so that they could run tests and everything on us. I think it must've been 2 hours later when they were finished and satisfied that we were fine and everything. Fine...fine...I didn't feel fine, my Daddy was gone how am I fine.
I was led in the same bed as Kane, his arm around me. He knew how I was feeling. My brothers were in the café with Susannah and Frank. We were being discharged tomorrow. But I didn't really want to go home. Home had too many memories. Home was the last place I saw my Daddy alive. Everyone had been staying in a motel 10 minutes from the hospital, but they were rarely there.
"Baby girl, your Dad's watching you and he doesn't want to see you upset" Kane told me softly,
"I know, but it's hard"
"We'll get through it..." I clutched his hand,
"Together"
"Forever"
