Chapter 1~ Tressa Part 2

~Flashback~

It was a warm, sunny day in the small town of Maineale. I was drawing with chalk on the sidewalk next to my house. My mom was in back tending to the garden. She always loves her little flower garden that she re-plants every year. A strange man in a t-shirt with an old band from the 90's on it stopped by the corner sign.

I asked him," What are you looking for?"

He replied back,"None of your beeswax."

"Well then, I was gonna help you, but I guess you don't want help."

"Fine. Where is the public library in this town?"

"You have to tell me why you want to get there first."

"Ummmmm", he hummed while trying to think up an excuse."I want to get a book for my friend."

"Seriously?", I asked doubtfully.

"No. I need to find the books of wonder. Once I get all ten books I can rule the world." At this point, he started to forget I was even there and he kept raving on about his little evil plan to take over the world.

"Wait, are you telling me, that you are going to take over the world?"

"Yes. Wow, you are so poor, that you can't even pay attention!"

"I am not! Your just a big bully that picks on little kids!"

"Yeah, yeah whatever. Just tell me the way to the library!"

"Fine then!"

"Get on with it."

"I am, I am. It is about 5 blocks down. At the first block turn right. Keep walking past two blocks. At the next block take another right. Walk one more block and the library is right there."

"Well, I knew that you little pest."

"Well your welcome."

"Stupid kids.", he scoffed before he walked far out of sight. I just sat there, staring at the strange man, my 8 year old mind transferring what has just happend.

Log# 1

At the time, I didn't worry much about the strange man. He was just a memory in my head, floating with a galaxy of others. Now, he has gone a long way from asking little girls for directions. Now, he has helpers (the mysterious men is what everybody calls them), and he even searches private libraries and houses. Why does he do this? To find the 10 books. The ten books are ancient. They will give you acess to anything and everything if you know where to find them and what to do. I thought he was just trying to scare me, but now I know. Casper Black will do anything-and he has-to get what he wants.

Thanks so much! I posted my first chapter and I got about 35 reads only and hour later! Now I have fifty-five reads, but as the book goes on, I am sure it will get more reads. Thank you so much for reading my second update about Tressa.
