Chapter 6

We get back home.
"So," says Virgil, "you're my boyfriend."
"Yeah..."
"That's cool."
"We haven't even actually kissed..."
"Until now!"
Virgil pushes me down like he's about to hold a knife to my throat, but instead he kissed me.
"Should we alert the public about this?"
"Should we?"
Sarcasm is practically dripping from our words.
Virgil grabs his phone.
"Things travel pretty fast on Twitter," he says, showing me he's just about ready to click on said app.
"I guess they do."
"So should I?"
I click on the app for him.
"Go ahead."
He tweets this:

Roman ran away with me yesterday, and yes, the earlier report of Roman's crush was true, but it isn't just a crush anymore. Roman is my boyfriend now. Have a good evening!

"Just wait five minutes, I bet you ten bucks the news app explodes," says Virgil, setting his phone down.
"I'll take that. It'll happen sooner."
He starts a timer for five minutes.
I owe him ten bucks.

Virgil confirmed it! Roman Britly and Virgil Moore are officially boyfriend and boyfriend! Everybody's freaking out, especially the king and queen, Mrs. and Mr. Britly! They weren't to happy when they had to dismantle the Hero party when their son quit, but now running off with Virgil? They're going nuts!

"You never told me you're a prince..."
"Was a prince."
"I'm calling you princey now."
"Then I get to call you sunshine."
"Deal."
Just so you know:
I hate my parents.
Forcing me to chose their side, making me pretend to fit the Hero cookie cutter, etc. The least I can do is come out to the world.
I check the time.
8:04 pm.
"Do you want to watch a movie?" I ask, nudging Virgil.
"Which one?"
"Um... spider man homecoming?"
"Done."
He pulls a dvd out of a box and pops it in.
