A/N: bold is the "I love you"s
1. Derek hummed along to the radio, looking out the window on his phone as I drove down the road. We still had another 30 minutes left of driving, but the time flew.
As Perfect by Ed Sheeran played on the radio, I swayed along as Derek would change his gaze from me to the view outside. Next thing I knew, he grabbed the hand that was on the center console and intertwined our fingers. I looked from our hands, back to him as he continued to look out the window. I gave his hand a slight squeeze, and he turned his gaze to me before letting a small smile appear on his face. He returned his gaze to the window, and I turned my focus back to the road. We rode the rest of the way in silence.
2. I shivered, pulling the covers up to my nose as Derek started to stir. "Stiles? You okay?"
I huffed. "I'm cold."
He chuckled, and put his arm around me, pulling me closer. "Better?"
I hummed happily, cuddling into his warm body. "Much."
We laid together, him keeping me from hypothermia as I snuggled close to his chest.
"Stiles."
"Yes?"
"Make your heart stop beating so hard, it's loud."
I scoffed. "I can't help you make me nervous."
3. "Where are you going?" Derek asked as I got up from the couch to get my keys.
"I, my love," I walked back over to where he was sitting, and tucked my finger underneath his chin before placing a kiss on his lips. "Am going home."
"Why?"
"I have school tomorrow." I ran my hand through his raven hair. "Harris will actually kill me if I'm late for first period again."
Derek whined. "Baaabbbee."
I scoffed. "Are we whining?"
Derek laughed. "Maybe."
I dragged my hand down the side of his face, and kissed him again as his hands found my legs. He attempted to pull me onto his lap, but I laughed and pulled away before it got heated. "I'll see you tomorrow."
"Please be safe." He looked up at me.
"I always am." I placed a kiss to his temple. "Goodnight sourwolf."
"Goodnight my love."
4. "God damn it!" I said through clenched teeth as I re-read my article. It sucked. No matter how many times I re-write it, it still sucks.
Stiles draped his arms over my shoulders, and placed his chin on my head. "What's wrong?"
I leaned back into his body. "I'm going to lose my job." I took my glasses off and set them on the table.
"Der, you're not going to lose your job."
"No, yes I am." I rubbed my eyes. "I'm going to lose my job and then I won't be able to provide for you anymore and you'll go find some rich, hot, old guy with a Mercedes."
"That's never going to happen." He scoffed. "I won't settle for anything less than a Tesla."
I looked up at him as he laughed. "Babe."
He kissed my forehead. "You know I will never leave you. We could live in a cardboard box for all I care! I'd still love you."
I chuckled. "As long as our cardboard box has cable."
"And a flat screen."
"Obviously." He laughed. "You can't get rid of me."
I sighed, and went to reach for my glasses again, before Stiles pulled them away from me. "Nope. You are going to sit on the couch and watch the Mets game while I give you a shoulder massage because you need one."
His thumbs pressed into my knotted shoulders, and I let out a moan. "I need to finish this."
"It will be here when you get back." He turned the office chair around. "Come on."
"Okay."
5. Again. He did it again. I try to get him to watch TV with me, but NO. He falls asleep. Again.
Derek snored softly, his head in my lap as I ran his raven hair between my fingers. I would alternate between looking at him, and looking at the current episode of The Bachelorette that was currently playing on Derek's flatscreen TV. And my favorite guy had just gotten sent home.
As the usual routine went on, the guy would give his farewell speech, get into the car, cry his eyes out, all the good stuff, Derek jumped awake and looked at me.
"Der you okay?" I asked as he visibly relaxed.
"I thought it was you crying and I wanted to see if you were okay." He said, out of breath before looking me up and down to make sure I was fine.
I smirked, and kissed his soft lips with passion as we both moaned into it. "I love you." I said as we pulled away.
"I love you too."
